I have very very THICK and very LONG dreadlocks. I've been trying to find a swim cap to fit. This one is "just what the doctor ORDERED"! If you have straight or curly hair longer than your shoulders/ locks/ or box braids buy/buy/ buy. The fabric is soft, but also just be careful how you put it on and pull it off so that you don't poke a hole in it with your fingernails. Have fun!

I was super excited to find a cap big enough to fit my locs. I bought it for these swimming lessons that I am taking. Yesterday was the second class and the first where our heads went under water. I did everything that I read in other posts. I covered my ears and squeezed out the excess air to create a tighter seal. long story short my entire head was soaked after the 30 minute lesson. All of it! and I have locs so drying my hair is already a process.I am writing this review 12 hours after that lesson ended and my hair is still damp. smh This cap might be good for if you are just having fun at a pool splashing around. But to actually go under water.....it's a no for me. ... show more

This is the best swimming cap if you have really long hair. It fits perfectly and there is still room. I might look like a "cone head" but my hair will be dry. I will update my review after I go swimming to let you know how it worked.

Works very, very well! Be careful putting in on as it is thin latex type material but my hair didn't get wet at all and I jumped off of a cliff into the ocean!

This is a review for the downsized version. Please see pics for comparison to the TYR long hair cap and this cap. Quite a difference. I was looking for something for casual swimming hair protection and I think this will fit the bill. Using a well choreographed dance in the pool shower stall, I am able to get my hair into the TYR cap and am very happy with it for lap swimming. It is quite form fitting and keeps most of the pool water out (although I do saturate my hair with tap water prior to putting it on- the purpose to keep as much chlorine out of my hair as possible rather than keep it dry). Not fashionable, but gets the job done. So I was wanting something else that I could use to keep my hair dry while hanging out with kids at the pool or beach, that I could get in easier and wouldn't look like I was about to start a triathalon. This cap is nice and roomy, not tight at all and I have more than enough room for my single braid of hair. It is made of a lighter weight and stretchier silicone than my TYR cap and the opening is larger. This should do fine for "hanging-out" but not "working-out" at the pool and will also work well as a shower cap. I do not think I could use it for lap swimming or trust it to keep the water out as well if I put my head totally under water because the opening is much looser. Hope this helps those trying to figure out what size you might need for your hair quantity and activity level. ... show more

NOT A GOOD PRODUCT!!!! I ordered this for swimming lessons and as soon as I put it on and went in the pool it tore apart. My hair was a mess. I’m very angry because my hair was done just a day before I had swimming class so I really was depending on this cap to protect my hair. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! ... show more

Great swim cap that's large enough for lots of dreads. My hair stayed dry while swimming. There was a little moisture in the back but I think it had more to do with user error. The cap makes you look like a cone head but that's what happens when you have lots of hair!
