  • Quality Expected from Logitech
Would not ship to a P.O. Box in Hawaii, had to use a physical address. Nice sturdy keyboard with a silky feel, real nice. Good protection on all corners for your iPad and does not cover the speakers. Magnets are strong and iPad can be lifted from the top without disengaging from the keyboard. Pencil has a cute magnetic flap storage slot, handy. My only, not really complaints, is that it doubles the weight of your iPad and the dim and brightness keys only regulate the keyboard brightness, not the screen brightness. I don’t care, it’s just too cool looking and performs as advertised. I don’t like using trackpads so this model is perfect for me. ... show more

  • Very nice cover
Ok...I really like this case/protector/thingie it is very solid overall and adds some weight to the iPad but I'm ok with that since my 3rd gen Pro 12.9 is like more slippery than I care to imagine. I love the magnetic positioning that holds it in place and dang that magnet is strong! I have a 1st gen Pro 12.9 and the case for it doesn't do that and will sometimes fall over if I'm not careful (my daughter has commandeered that one for Procreate). Love the backlit keys, dedicated iPadOS keys and the overall feel on this Logitech Folio. The flap that holds it together is magnetic and has a special place for my Apple Pencil. That flap flips back and secures to another magnet when it's setup as a laptop - very nice. Space for the Apple Pencil and the USB-C port is clear and free for one of those dongle things that expand stuff out. I've not tried one of those on my Pro but it's really not relevant to this review. I will get another case without a keyboard for when I need to take it really mobile for shopping or on a job since the pencil features are pretty solid on the pro. Overall, just like Tess Everis - I'll give it a thumbs up! ... show more

  • This is the case!
I did a lot of research when searching for a case for my new iPad Pro 12.9. I came across this case (among others like the Apple Magic Keyboard, the Brydge keyboard case, and the Apple keyboard case), and after reading many reviews and watching YouTube videos on them I decided on this one. I think that the Apple Magic keyboard is a fantastic case based on reviews and it's native Apple, so you know it's going to work well, but it's just too pricey. Even with this going to be a laptop replacement. The Brydge case was just too flimsy? I guess is the best word I can come up with. I didn't care for how it attached to the iPad, but the price was also a bit high still. Then comes this case. It's protective, it's strong, it pairs easily with the iPad, and it's a perfect case for me. I love that it has it's own battery and doesn't utilize the iPad's (like the MK does). It's also USB-C though, so no need to carry two separate charging cables for it and the iPad. I also don't miss that it doesn't have a track pad. I hate track pads, and would rather have a standalone mouse anyways. I purchased the Logitech M585 multi-device mouse to go with it and it's fantastic as well. If this were a mouse review I'd go into more details on it, but look it up if you're looking for a great mouse! Now, back to the keyboard case from Logitech, it's the perfect combination of protection, weight, and utility. It just works and does so perfectly. The keys all feel very nice (maybe nicer than my keyboard on my PC that I'm typing this review on right now). Bottom line, quit looking at other cases, save your money, and buy this one! ... show more

  • A Good Case, But Perhaps Not For Artists
My primary use for the iPad Pro is as a design tool. I do a lot of drawing and illustration work. I previously had an 11" iPad with the Apple Keyboard Folio. When I upgraded to the 12.9" model, I decided to try the Logitech case, which I hoped would address some of the shortcomings of Apple's case. It did, but introduced some new shortcomings I had not anticipated. First, what I like about this case: It has a protection flap for the Apple Pencil so it doesn't get knocked off when being carried (unlike the Apple case). It has a real keyboard, backlit, with function keys (unlike Apple's). It is quieter to type on than Apple's clackety case, so I don't get looks from people when I type. The build quality feels good, although I haven't had it long enough to give a rating on durability (The coating on Apple's case began to bubble and show tears in about 8 months of regular but respectful use). So what's not to like? The first thing I noted was that this case, by necessity of having a proper keyboard, is thicker that Apple's. It feels bulkier in the hand, and heavier, making it more straining to hold in one hand when drawing in one's lap. Apple's case was very thin and light. The increased size has necessitated a bigger spine, and since this hinge is made of reinforced rubberized coating, it has a certain amount of play when the cover is completely unfolded 180° and is sitting on the back. This results in the tablet shifting from the spine when trying to draw on it (see photos). By contrast, Apple's case had a tighter spine and when the cover was opened 180° the unit felt more stable in the hand. Lastly, the Logitech case uses a rubber bracket to secure the tablet in place. While it is well designed of a soft but firm rubber, it may also (like many cases) interfere with the artist's hand when drawing strokes. Apple's case held the iPad on a flat back panel with magnets, so it didn't have any brace. This was less secure, but allowed a surface free of edge obstructions. Perhaps these are all things I can get used to, but offhand the drawing experience is not as good using Logitech's case. If you are not an artist I don't think any of my issues will be important and I would highly recommend the case. For artists, this case trades different issues with Apple's case. Overall both are good but not without their own unique flaws. I don't think Apple's case is worth the money they charge (mainly because of poor durability) but, for drawing, I liked that design better. ... show more
