**Feature-packed and comfortable, though a little heavy**
Color: Pale Gray Pattern Name: Mouse
Overall, I’ve had a very good experience with the Logitech MX Master 4. It works well, was easy to set up, and has a lot of useful functions without feeling overly complicated to use. The ergonomic shape is one of the biggest advantages for me. My hand feels less tired compared with using a more basic mouse, especially during longer periods at the computer. The buttons and scrolling features are also convenient once you get used to them. It is a little heavier than some other mice I’ve used, so that may be noticeable if you prefer something very lightweight. For me, though, the weight is manageable and the overall comfort makes up for it. The mouse also feels well designed and versatile, with plenty of functions for productivity and everyday use. Overall, it’s a comfortable and capable mouse with a lot of features. I would recommend it if ergonomics and productivity features are important to you and you don’t mind a slightly heavier mouse. ... show more

Great Mouse For The Office
Color: Graphite Pattern Name: Mouse
This is easily one of the best mice for the office. The customization options are fantastic—you can program all three side buttons to do whatever you want, and the haptic feedback button brings up a customizable wheel that can be set to open apps, launch websites, or perform other convenient shortcuts. The scroll wheel is probably my favorite feature. You can use it normally when you want to slowly scroll through a page, or switch to the free-spinning mode and fly through hundreds of pages in seconds. It makes a huge difference when working with long documents or spreadsheets. It also connects easily to my computer using the Logi Bolt receiver, and the battery life has been excellent so far. On top of all that, it’s very comfortable to use for long periods of time. Overall, this is a great office mouse and definitely worth the money if you want to make your workday faster, easier, and more convenient. ... show more

One Mouse to Bind Them, in the Long Hours of the Desk
Color: Graphite Pattern Name: Mouse
It was the winter of the endless scroll, when the days in River Grove stretched thin and pale as old parchment and the light from the monitor became the only sun we knew, that my old mouse—poor, faithful thing—began its slow betrayal. Clicks faltered like the last breath of a dying Rohirrim steed; the wheel spun loose and reckless, sending spreadsheets cascading into chaos as though the very order of Middle-earth had unraveled; the cursor wandered with the aimless grief of a man who has lost his king. I sat there in the dim room above the garage, wrist aching like the shoulder that once bore the weight of Andúril, staring at the screen while deadlines crept closer, silent and inexorable as the shadow over Mordor. Then the Logitech MX Master 4 arrived, graphite-dark as the armor of Isildur’s line, shaped not for haste but for endurance, its curves rising like the hills of the Shire remade for the hand of a weary scribe. I took it up and felt the weight settle—not heavy, but certain, as though the mouse itself understood the gravity of long labor. The MagSpeed wheel turned under my thumb with the smooth inevitability of the Anduin in flood, ultra-fast when the document must race to its end, precise when a single pixel demanded mercy. The haptic feedback thrummed beneath my fingers like the deep pulse of the earth when the Ents march—subtle, insistent, alive. Every scroll, every gesture carried the quiet authority of a thing forged to outlast lesser tools. It paired without ceremony—Bluetooth to the laptop, Logi Bolt to the desktop—crossing between machines as swiftly as the Eagles bore Gandalf from the tower, no fumbling, no oaths sworn in frustration. The side buttons waited like loyal vassals: one to summon the hidden application switcher, another to gesture across screens as though drawing maps of realms unseen. The gesture button itself became my quiet command—thumb pressed, fingers sweeping, and windows arranged themselves in obedient array, the way the hosts of the West might have arrayed themselves upon the Pelennor Fields. And when the battery whispered low, the USB-C cord drank from the wall like a pilgrim at the fountains of Imladris, three hours of life from a single minute’s charge. I have worked with it now through the gray mornings when the snow muffled every sound outside, through the late nights when the house slept and only the cursor moved, through the sudden urgent revisions that once would have left me cursing the heavens. It does not slip. It does not tire. It endures, as the light of Eärendil endures above the storm, a small fierce companion against the gathering hours. If your days are measured in documents and deadlines, in the slow turning of wheels both literal and metaphorical, take this MX Master 4. It is not mere plastic and circuit; it is covenant between hand and machine, a shield against the tedium of the long watch, the fellowship your desk has hungered for in its quiet exile. Ten stars out of five, though the heavens ration light to fewer. I would carry it into the Cracks of Doom itself and fear no misclick. 🖱️🧙♂️📜🌑 ... show more

Great mouse for Macs, BUT you must use the USB Dongle and NOT Bluetooth.
Color: Pale Gray Pattern Name: Mouse
My MX Master 2 from several years ago finally gave up the ghost. So I upgraded to the new MX 4. There are some real improvements. The thumb button is very nice, as well as a new 3rd front side button. All the buttons are programmable with a lot of nice choices. For example, you can set the top little button with the essential controls for playing music - volume, pause, next, previous. Nice. ---------------- Update after 6 months: The terrible software provided by this has absolutely coset me literally HOURS of time. Worked for a while, then all of a sudden (probably updated driver software), this mouse has been freezing the screen several times a day - mouse arrow moves, but won't click nor be useful at all. The virtual screens won't slide any more. no easy recovery. have to totally re-boot my Mac. This kills time, but worse, my work flow. Since it had previously worked, I thought it was a mac problem. Finally switch to my old mouse - no problems ever since. So this Logi Master 4 mouse is worse than useless. Has cost me probably hundreds of dollars in lost productivity. No excuse for this. Web say using USB can help, but mine came with bluetooth support only. Totally a terrible product. -------------- Update: August 2026. I'm back with the MX Master 4. The software finally made it work, mostly. But it would still freeze a few times a day on clicking the pointer to select. BUT - thanks to AI I got a solution. Turns out the losing the Arrow click is a well-known problem. When I got mine, it did not incude the USB dongle. Turns out there is some kind of disconnectewith Apple's Bluetooth support and the MX4. The solution: use their USB Dongle and not Bluetooth.. Buy one if you need to, but it turns out I got a logi keyboard that has the dongle, and now it all works right. ... show more

a great mouse for work
Color: Graphite Pattern Name: Mouse
I had the MX Master 3 for years until the left mouse button started to wear out. It was hands-down my favorite mouse for work - the thumb wheel is super useful for navigating spreadsheets. I got the MX Master 4 and am happy to say it is a slight improvement over the MX Master 4. Most importantly, it feels pretty much the same. Everything works as it should - the scroll wheel has a great feel, the thumb wheel is smooth, it tracks perfectly, it is sturdy, etc. It does what it is supposed to do. It uses the Logi Bolt receiver, which works great. I have never had connectivity issues with the mouse or the keyboard. The haptics are a bit gimmicky, IMO. I don't really need them and to me it just seems to be a waste of battery power. I set the haptics to their lowest level and it is fine. Maybe some people really love the haptics, but to me it is sorta useless. The Options+ software is decent. You can reprogram the buttons and even create macros. It is pretty easy to use and I have no real complaints about it. Thank heavens they did not make the mouse require Logitech G Hub, which is flaming pile of garbage that Logitech just outright refuses to make better even after years of customer complaints. The mouse is big, I admit that. As a travel mouse it may be too big for many people. I do not mind that it is full sized and travel with it without experiencing any hassles. It is a great mouse. Pairing the mouse with a Bolt receiver is pretty simple. Logitech finally allows you to use a website to manage connections, which is nice. The URL is logiwebconnect.com, btw. I do think it is a bit overpriced, personally. $120 is steep for a non-gaming mouse. I think $75 is a much more fair price, so if you can get it on sale, do so. ... show more

So far so good, except one massive physical flaw...
Color: Graphite Pattern Name: Mouse
UPDATE: So after some more use, this is very much an expensive downgrade from my G502. Another major problem (which is also rooted in the lack of onboard memory) is the DPI settings. By default the mouse is far too slow on high resolution displays. This is of course easily solved in both the G502 and the MX Master 4 via the DPI settings; however, this is where the MX Master 4 fails again - no on board memory means no DPI changes on systems without the Logi Options+ and there is a delay whenever windows starts and resumes from sleep until Logi Options+ finally wakes up and reconfigures the mouse - this can range from half a minute to much longer, computer specs are irrelevant here (the system is idle long before the software resyncs the settings to the mouse). While you wait for Logi Options+ to finally do it's thing the MX Master 4 is in "slow mode" (my normal settings let me move the cursor all the way across the screen with minimal write movement (helps reduce wrist strain among other things). In this default mode the mouse has to be lifted up and moved back the side of the mouse pad twice just to navigate the screen! (Also remember this slow mode applies to all systems that lack the Logi Options+ software so my work system can't access the higher DPI settings. Another minor issue - the side buttons are poorly placed. For people with larger hands the back button is an awkward reach, forward is (mostly) where back should be, and an extra butt is closer to where forward should be (a bit farther out to be comfortable though). Sure you can reprogram these buttons...but again that needs Logi Options+ which in turn can't be installed on regulated systems...(lack of on board memory strikes again...). I very much regret having purchased this mouse - it is completely failing to meet my needs. What I really need is a Logi Bolt version of the G502... but that doesn't exist. ORIGINAL: I haven't been using the mouse for long (yet) but overall I like it. I "upgraded" from a G502 so I could use Logi Bolt as I planned to use the fast switching ability in place of a KVM (more reliable, less fussy, etc.). (I also switched to a Logi Bolt based keyboard too.) In concept this works. The keyboard being what it is has dedicated buttons for toggling profiles; however, the problem with this mouse (and the main reason for the minus stars) is that the profile switch button is ON THE BOTTOM of the mouse - this is not "easy" nor "quick" to do in practice (you have to turn the mouse over with one hand use your other hand to press a tiny button to switch profiles). To be clear, this technically works but the massive inconvenience of the physical design makes this a 100% non-usable as a KVM substitute! I don't mind needing to press separate buttons on different each device (vs a single button press like a real KVM) but by placing the profile button in a "hard" to reach spot this is not an easy switch work flow. Compared the G502 I came from, which is nearly the same physical shape, there are plenty of other out of the way places to put a profile button that can be reached by the mouse hand without the need to flip it over and use both hands. An excellent wireless design totally broken by bad button placement! And yes, I have evaluated the "Enhanced Easy-Switch" support - this requires the Logitech Options+ software on each host (the toggle profile packet is bounced from keyboard to mouse/others via the software not the Logi Bolt's receiver alone so for anyone on locked down work system this solution is fully unavailable). Such a shame, using one Logi Bolt receiver per profile/system enables very fast system swapping (at least for the keyboard) as the pairing remains in the Logi Bolt receiver itself which in turn is always on from the system's point of view - this allows for much faster connection swapping as there is no Bluetooth reconnect delay nor any USB hot plug events (as would be the case in a standard KVM). All this mouse needed was either a dedicated profile button accessible by the mouse hand alone (e.g. on the side/top of the mouse) or onboard programmable button memory so that it remap an existing button to profile switching _without_ software running in the background. ... show more

The Next Generation (highly recommend)
Color: Graphite Pattern Name: Mouse
The MX Master 3s has been my mouse for gaming and productivity for years...it is now the 4. This mouse feels great and the clicks are even softer and quicker than the previous model! The sensor is incredibly precise and the scroll wheel feels tighter and more reliably precise when in free-spin mode. The haptics take some getting used to, but after some tweaking and customization in the Logi Options+ app, I can honestly say I've already grown to love it! It's unobtrusive and a handy tool when needed. The thumb scroll wheel feels a little tighter as well, making it more controllable without thumb fatigue after repeated scrolling. The new texture on the back is a comfy micro-bump kinda material that resists oils and has yet to get moist under my palm or fingers after 8+ hour work and gaming sessions! The battery charges relatively quickly and the lifespan so far is absolutely perfect...it outperforms the former model - which is an accomplishment in itself - and as of writing this review after days of continuous use (and leaving it on overnight to see how well the auto-sleep feature works) I can say the battery hasn't dipped below 90%. The bluetooth connection feels faster and more precise than the previous model, and better than any other mice I've had/tried, and the dongle is incredibly good, nice tight fit and a very low profile. All in all, for the price this mouse is beyond a good deal, and easily my new favorite mouse. It's a bit weighty compared to Razer and Corsair gaming mice, but nonetheless I've had no issues in FPS or RTS games. If you're looking purely for a gaming mouse, I'd look elsewhere, but if you want an ergonomic productivity mouse, then look no further. If you're like me and you don't play games on a competitive level and you want a mouse that can 'do it all'...then what are you waiting for??!! ... show more

A lot of changes to consider compared to the MX Master 3s
Color: Graphite Pattern Name: Mouse
I'm really enjoying this mouse so far. I tried the mx master 3s a couple of years ago and ended up returning it because the scroll wheel was really loud and rattled, and the thumb button was in an awkward position. This feels much better to me. The action button is in a nice spot that my thumb naturally rests on. I like that I can re-map the buttons, because I like to use the big thumb button as the gesture button, and I set the action button to be the third button that is further up the mouse. By the way, the new action button isn't actually a click anymore, it's haptic feedback, which is a strange choice, in my opinion, but it works the same. I guess it's fun to feel the haptic feedback as you move around in the action ring, but other than that, it feels like a gimmick. The action ring is fully customizable though, so you can have your quick device change setup in there, quick AI assistants, widgets, etc. As others have mentioned, the mouse is not as grippy as previous models, which I guess was a choice by logitech because the old grippy texture would wear off and leave that nasty residue on it. Pros: * The scrolling wheel feels much more premium and sturdy compared to previous models * The new action button is a nice addition to give you more quick commands * The scroll wheel now lets you choose how much resistance you want to have when just moving line by line * Ideally, we will not see the gross rubber disintegrating over time Cons: * The polling rate is still only 125hz * No charging cable included * Not as grippy as some might like * Still a bit heavy (slightly heavier than the previous model) Neutrals: * The new logi bolt dongle is USB-c * Haptic feedback instead of actual clicks for the big thumb button * Left and right clicks on the mouse are virtually silent and don't give much feedback to whether you click them or not P.S. If you're unsure of whether to buy this version or the "Mac" version, the difference is that this version comes with the USB-c dongle and it will be 1 of the 3 connections to the mouse, whereas the Mac version does not come with a USB-c dongle and it only uses bluetooth for all 3 connections. ... show more
