    • I made the right choice
I spent the last couple weeks kinda stressing over what keyboard I should buy. I went to the store and tried as many as I could. I would be replacing my Velocifire mechanical keyboard. I first ordered the G512 with the tactile switch, but that order ended up not being fulfilled. So I spent more time searching and finally decided to try the G512 with a linear switch. I'm sure glad I did. Starting with the looks, this keyboard looks amazing. It gives you that RGB color and flexibility without having that fake gamer gaudy look *cough* Corsair *cough*. It truly looks amazing with an all black setup like I have. The LED is simply amazing and I like how there is no bleed through the rest of the keyboard. The keys have a smooth and somewhat of a rubber feel to them, which feels really nice. I'm not sure how long this coating will last though, so time will tell. The new Romer G linear switch is awesome. The activation point is scary shallow, but typing is honestly way better than a standard linear switch, not to mention it's much quieter. The Romer G switches are much more stable than your standard cherry type switch with a stem. My only complain is the space bar is pretty loud when typing, but not so much when gaming and only activating it by the left side of the bar. Logitech, please make a TKL version with linear switches.     • Overall a great keyboard for a logitech enthusiast.
I've got a Logitech G903 Wireless Mouse, PowerPlay pad, I used to own a Logitech G700s, and now I've added the G512 Carbon with Romer-G linear switches. I had a cheap off-brand mechanical keyboard before this, and a Razer before that. The razer just was at the end of it's life, and the off-brand we Cherry reds and was just obnoxiously loud for anyone who tried to come over and use my PC. I didn't mind it at times, but for calls on discord and such, it was evidently present in my calls. The day I got this keyboard, I was, not gonna lie, off-put by the feel and texture of it. It's around 80% quieter than my other keyboard. It took a solid day to get the old feel out of my system, and I tried switching back to compare, and the actuation times are VERY noticeable. The G512 outperforms in every way. It has RGB Sync with applications, with fully customizable RGB functionality with the Logitech's gaming software. Overall VERY pleased with my purchase! All I'm missing for a full Logitech environment is their speakers and a headset/mic. Logitech hit me up :) ... show more

    • amazing keyboard and i love it!!!
If you're looking for a nice keyboard in the home office, this is the keyboard you need. super clean and nice, the keys are obviously very responsive too. the only downside is that I have very oily hands as is and my oils seem to wipe off onto the keys and... my girlfriend doesn't like how loud it is, yet again I have lead fingers and I don't regret anything. Overall all a great purchase and I would recommend this to everyone. ... show more

    • Great Keyboard
It did come damaged with the F5 key broken off, but I was able to snap the key back on. This keyboard feels great to type with and do anything you want as the features are endless. Had some trouble with Logitech products holding up over time so will see how this one is for the future.

    • keyboard doesnt work on delivery *KNOWN ISSUE - BUYER BEWARE*
***Update to my review: I have initiated a return/refund with Amazon. They no longer sell this keyboard because of so many customers having similar issues to mine. AVOID THIS KEYBOARD!!! I spoke to Logitech and they were less than helpful in providing a replacement, and pretended this isn't a known issue. When the number one online retailer stops selling your product it is quite obvious. I'm going to switch to Corsair or other brands that are making a run at keyboards mice now and hopefully have better luck. Hope this review helps and prevents someone from having my same issue. Aloha. The K key displays random characters and turns on the caps lock key when pressed. Does the same thing on both windows 10 and my Linux box. Seeking return. I've been using this keyboard for about a week and so far I love it. I use the linear mechanical keys because I dont like a "clicky" keyboard and these have worked great. I do a lot of gaming and I can hit several keys simultaneously and it works great. If for some reason the keyboard malfunctions I will update my review, if it hasn't been updated you can assume I still love it! ... show more

I bought a couple of regular keyboards (non backlit) earlier and I was so disappointed because I realized later on that I actually needed a backlit one. I searched Amazon for a great product, but nothing piqued my interest. There are so many RGB keyboards that offer over the top customization. I guess these are great for some people. Not for me though. Why did I choose this keyboard? First, Logitech is a brand that is reliable. Second, all other backlit keyboards have bleeding light all over the place. They're just too in your face! Too much light pollution! Logitech knows better and has come up with a product that only lights up the letters, and nothing else. This is truly remarkable.
