I got this as a gift for my boyfriend. He is an avid gamer. The product is very well made and works with racing games that allow you to drive manually. This completed his racing setup with the steering wheel, pedals, and racing stand. My only complaint is that when mounting the shifter to the stand that was recommended by Amazon for this item, it does not have a long enough "clamp" in the middle. It could be completely functional and have no issues if you are mounting it to a desk. What we found out, unfortunately, is the middle "clamp" does not reach the underside of the base where the shifter is supposed to sit. We "modified" it by folding some cardboard and used that to fill in the gap so it could be securely mounted to the base. Overall, the product itself is of great quality and does not feel cheaply made, just be mindful of how thick or thin the surface is that you will mount it to. ... show more

It’s not top quality, but it’s not awful either! Most of the internals feel like plastic, and as such the feel of it in game feels a lot more arcade shifter than sim. If you’re just buying it for the fun of the shifter to screw around with and make the virtual cars feels that little bit more interactive, it’s perfect. If you’re buying it to legitimately race, quick shift, or slam it into gear like Dom Torreto, you’re probably gonna be mildly disappointed. The six main gears are easy to slip in and out of, but it takes some getting used to. It took me a few races to not jump from second to fifth, and I drive stick in my daily car! Ironically, the reverse gear can actually be a bit of a pain to get into, especially after some wear and tear playing the games. (Stunt driving works the heck out of this product.) Overall, awesome little addition for the G29/920 wheels to have an extra bit of fun with. Construction, although light, is very solid overall and definitely makes it worth the price. ... show more

This product may not be the best on the market, but it is the only one currently available. I purchased it along with the G923 in December. Although I drive a manual transmission vehicle in real life, I do not use this product because it feels fragile and I am concerned about breaking it. I bought this with the pedals and steering wheel for my son to practice driving virtually on VR. This shifter is really realistic. The only thing missing is the jump and bump for dumping the clutch.
