If you're deciding between these and the Logitech G430's, go with these. The only difference is the USB adapter the G430 provides which adds VIRTUAL surround sound, not true surround sound like higher end models. In terms of quality and sound, they do not differ, it's a matter of color in the end. I upgraded from a cheap Logitech headset that was not only uncomfortable, but had very poor mic quality, especially for gaming (I have a Mumble chat server with friends). I wanted to look for a great gaming headset without spending too much and I came across these. At first, I was a bit worried because some people disliked these but I decided I would risk it anyways. It was a perfect risk. In terms of sound, these have far better sound than any headphones I've ever owned. In terms of sound, they exceed the quality that my Sennheiser HD 202 and Sennheiser HD 419's provide, which I found as surprising since they are both great pairs of headphones. I want to continue to use these headphones just for listening to music and mixing music in general because there is a perfect balance of bass, mids and highs. However, I'll look a bit like a tool using headset to listen to music somewhere in public :P Now of course, I'm sure a more expensive headset will sound much better in terms of clarity, but I am VERY impressed with the sound on these, especially at this price point. The mic quality is also VERY good. I got on Mumble the other day with these for the first time and after configuration the settings within the client, I joined the channel and immediately, everyone knew I got the new headset and was relieved how well it sounded and how little feedback there was compared to my last headset. The comfort on these are also great. After about two hours however, my ears started to hurt. I feel that this was the case because I was wearing glasses. When I switched to wearing contacts the next day, I did not have any problems with ear fatigue, even after 3 hours. This is an amazing headset at a very competitive price point.     • Great Starters Headset For Beginners

Great Starting Gaming Headset. This headset is fantastic for a beginner gamer who has just started getting into pc work gaming. She said she LOVES these things. She said that they were extremely comfortable. I had to try them myself. I sat down with these things and she taught me how to play cs:go a terrorists v swat fps shooter game I believe. The headset was very VERY clear. I sat there for an hour and I forgot I was wearing the headset LOL! But after about 5-6 hours with them, it got sorta uncomfortable and I had to take off the headset every now and then. Also, the headset does a great job as a noise cancelling headset. 8.5/10 in comfort for me., no complaints. The sound was good, not great and load with a lot of base for music, but it was clear. It was VERY clear. My only complaint was when I had the knob on the chord all the way up, it wasn't very loud. I had to turn up my audio on the computer itself in order to get enough sound for a comfortable experience. And the base, the base. If your a hardcore dubstep or base lover, this headset is not for you. The base isn't bad, but then again, its not great. Its alright for the asking price. Also, when I had nothing on (music, noises ect) I heard a little static noise that was slightly noticeable if you aren't playing a game or listening to a video or music. Sound quality overall is a 7.5/10 for me. Now onto the mic. The mic is great. I did some testing with the realtek audio manager where I could hear myself and it was EXTREMELY clear. I asked some players on cs;go if my mic was clear and they said my mic was fine and that they could easily understand me. Also, I love the mute button on the little controller. Its easy to use and immediately mutes your mic. Very nice touch. And can we mention the clip! That was a fantastic idea by Logitech. Putting a clip on the control box. (Not related to mic oops). Mic quality is 9/10 for me. Very nice. Now onto the build quality, the build quality may come out as flimsy at first, but it's actually really well built and stable. My daughter says she has dropped the headset numerous times, and she can't find a scratch on them. The braided cable is excellent, its very very long and gets stuck every now and then but it's not that big of a deal considering it comes with a Velcro strap. The cable is very sturdy too. I actually got the cable stuck under the wheels of my office chair and tripped over it pulling it forwards, and nothing happened. No frays, nothing like that. Fantastic. Build quality is a 10/10 for me. Let's go over the pros and the cons real quick. PROS -Decent sound quality -Great mic -Noise cancelling -sturdy -Fairly Comfortable CONS -Base/Sound for the headset itself isn't too great. -Can become uncomfortable after long periods of time -Long cable that can be tripped over As you can see, my pros outweigh the cons, therefore this headset gets a 4 star review.
