I think this product works great. I’ve heard people complain about the battery. Life don’t be so cheap. Go by yourself a lithium ion battery to put in it. It does vary if you set it up with your slide outs in versus out, I choose the level of my trailer with a slide outs out and then calibrate this device.

I was extremely excited after seeing some videos on the level mate max. I camp alone and really thought this would save me time on setting up. I bought the max thinking the ability to mount it in the front storage area would work well for my setup. I was wrong. From the front storage area to the cab of the truck is less than 30 feet, and the level mate max has a hard time connecting to my iPhone 17 pro max. But that’s not the worst of it. When I bought the level mate max I followed the installation instructions and thought once I was set up and ready for my next camping trip, I was wrong. When I arrived at my campsite, at first it wouldn’t connect. Once it did, I saw the trailer was off by a few inches on the passenger side. I leveled it out, and the level mate max said it was level. I unhooked my trailer and hooked up everything. I went inside and could tell just by walking in it was off. I had to redo everything and use a level like I did before. I thought, “OK, I will maybe because I didn’t put the slide out when I first did the setup. It was off. Redid the setup again, and the level mate max said it was level. My next camping trip was the next month. I showed up at my campsite, thinking I was good to go. I still had a hard time connecting, but once I got out of the truck and went to where it is installed, it finally connected. The level mate max said the trailer on the passenger side was off by a few inches, so I drove up on blocks. I unhooked the trailer and set it up. Once again, the trailer was off and had to unhook everything, hook it up to the truck again, and use a level. This time, I decided to check all my measurements and reset the level mate max. The site I was at wasn’t full hookup, so I had to go dump. When I came back, I used the level mate max and had no problems leveling. I thought, “Oh great, it’s working, and I should be good to go.” Oh boy, was I wrong. Show up to a full park for Thanksgiving. I thought I should just be able to back in and be good to go. Wrong! The level mate max said the passenger side is off by 3.75 inches. It’s hard to tell if a 33-foot trailer is off by just looking at it, plus it’s late afternoon and starting to get dark. My leveling block won’t go up that high, so I figured I’d just do what I can. After having a few issues with the leveling block and now having half the campsite people watching me, I’ll just set up everything unleveled and fix it in the morning, which is Thanksgiving. When I got set up and entered the trailer, I’m like, “This isn’t off. Pulled out my trusty level, and it was perfect.” Since I only camp once a month, it’s too late to get a refund from Amazon. I’m extremely disappointed in the product, and at a 150-dollar price point, I would save your money.

This works ok when it finally connects. We will be standing right next to it and it takes forever to connect to our phone. The reason I bought it was for a quick read so we weren’t fumbling with a level trying to set up at camp. It also gives false readings. We parked and while in the truck it was perfect. We got out unhooked and the side to side level changed. That is with the camper not moving at all. It doesn’t work well enough for the cost I paid. My husband checks our level with a laser level to verify. The connectivity is a pain to waste time when you’re trying to unhook quickly in a busy campground. By the time it connects, we would have already been unhooked using an old school level. It should work flawlessly from the cab of the truck. It’s not that great of a distance. 3 stars is generous.

I love how easy this one is. I had others and returned them. The app is easy to use and with the option to use my watch is like a range extender for it! I just place my phone in the bed of the truck, and it reaches to my watch. The signal to the phone alone did not reach to the cab of the truck. There is a long distance from where the system is mounted to the cab though.

Bought the Levelmate Max. The delivery went well. The setup was a nightmare. The device would not Bluetooth to my phone. After several trial/error attempts, I almost returned the device. I made a final attempt by removing the app from my phone. Resetting my phone and realizing the product only came with a QR code for a Levelmate Pro app and not the Levelmate Max app. Once the Levelmate Max app was installed, everything connected and works as it should. Also, the mounting screws the came with the device were too short. I had to find screws that were 1/4” longer. I haven’t tried it out in the wild yet but plan to soon.
