Features

  • YOUR GO-TO COVERED CASSEROLE: A flawless pairing of form and function that doesn't quit. The Lodge Covered Round Casserole not only makes your kitchen look good but is an enameled cast iron classic great for preparing and serving memorable meals. Broil, braise, bake or roast your favorite meals in the oven up to 500 Degree F.
  • WHAT IS PORCELAIN ENAMEL ON CAST IRON? It is glass that becomes bonded to the cast iron at high temperatures. A particulate of glass, called frit, is applied to the cast iron vessel and then baked at temperatures between 1200 and 1400 F. The glass frit melts and fuses to the cast iron, forming a bond. Porcelain enamel on cast iron is heat tolerant and impervious to water and other consumables.
  • EASY TO COOK AND CLEAN: The porcelain enameled interior has a smooth finish that minimizes sticking, promotes caramelization and resists staining. Although enameled cast iron is dishwasher safe, hand washing with warm soapy water and a nylon scrub brush is recommended to keep your Casserole in tip top shape.
  • HEAT RETENTION: The cast iron vessel has superior heat distribution and retention, evenly heating throughout both the bottom and sidewalls. The tightly fitting lid seals in moisture for scrumptious pot roast, stews or a large batch of beans. Our heat retention also reduces the amount of energy needed for cooking.
  • FAMILY OWNED SINCE 1896: Lodge has been a trusted family-owned brand since 1896. Made with non-toxic, PFOA & PTFE-free materials, this enameled Dutch oven reflects Lodges commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.

  • Worth the money
Color: Island Spice Red
Beautiful addition to my cooking dishes!! So happy I bought this. It's a great size for family cooking. Goes directly from the stove to the over and back. Great quality and very sturdy. Wipes clean! easy to use and it's exactly as pictured. Going back to buy other parts of the set! Cooks evenly and casseroles are SO nice ... Sautee on the stove, finish in the oven! ... show more

  • Great Piece, Great Deal.
Color: Cornflower Gradated
Recently purchased this. I needed a larger braiser, but wanted something that would also fit in my oversized toaster oven, and this fits like it was custom made. At $80 it's a steal. I have cast iron pans I've been using for over 50 years, including a Le Creuset dutch oven, and this appears to match the quality, and I expect my kids to finish out the next 50 years with this Lodge after I pass it on. Two key points. The bottom of the pan is about 10.75 in, or roughly the size of a 12" skillet. And the sides are nearly vertical and 2.5" tall. This is great for browning things without steaming, and keeping hot oil in the pan. The porcelain looks great, cleans up easily. It heat like a champ on the range and the lid works well, fits well and seals well. The handles are adequate in size. This is a piece you won't regret, and will use often. ... show more

  • Great pan
Color: Desert Sage
Love this pan, looks so pretty I leave it out on my stove, mainly because I use it almost everyday! Cooks even and the clean up is a breeze. Love that it can go from stovetop to the oven! Like the little tabs that come with it to help protect the edges when storing. So worth the money.

  • This casserole pan is so awesome, I love it
Color: Caribbean Blue
I have the Lodge 3.6 quart cast iron enamel casserole pan, and I love it. I also have Lodge dutch ovens in 3 quart, 4.5 quart, 6 quart and 7.5 quart. I have had them all for about six months and I use them all the time. Lodge never claimed that these cast iron enamel coated products are made in America, their cast iron skillets and such are made in America, and I guess if where something is made is what determines whether you like an item, you will most likely not like this casserole pan. I am not sure what some of the reviewers are doing with the casserole pan, or why they have peeled and cracked really bad. I use my casserole pan all of the time. I take care of them, I don't put them in the dishwasher, which is what causes the enamel to crack, I store them carefully, though I guess not too carefully as they are stacked together, and I don't wash them when they are still hot, but I don't let the food sit in them for extended periods either. I do not use this pan as an everyday skillet either, and I don’t believe it was meant for that either, that is what their skillets are for. I heat them up prior to putting food in them to cook, though I do use high temperatures at times. I put them in the oven almost every time I use them after starting on the stove. This casserole pan has held up wonderfully and make the most wonderful meals for me and my family. I love it, and it is not super expensive. Seeing as I have five items from Lodge, if there was really something wrong with the enamel coated products, I would assume I would have experienced something by now with at least one of the ovens or casserole pan, and I have not. Don't put them in the dishwasher!! They will not hold up. These are truly wonderful tools for cooking. I make the best pot roasts, short ribs, chicken coq au vin, and more with them. The 3.6 casserole is perfect for chicken coq au vin, and one pot chicken and rice, and dishes like those. I absolutely love that pan and I use it frequently. I make enough food for four people comfortably, five or six depending on portions. It can fit about 8 chicken thighs with skin and 1 pound baby potatoes or a cup of rice. I will detail the other items that I have below, just as an FYI. I have made pot roast and beef stew in the 3 quart dutch oven, and it has come out so good, so don't pay attention to the people that say you can't do so with the smaller ovens. You 100% can. I make my elder parents food in the 3 quart all the time, and it the makes perfect amount for them to have a couple of dinners. The 3 quart is also great for baked ziti dishes, bread, and the like. This dutch oven is perfect for a single person to make magnificent meals in. The 4.5 quart dutch oven is also perfect for making pot roasts, stews, and such for a couple of people. It has a little more room than the 3 quart, making it perfect for two people. The 6 quart dutch oven is perfect for making food for my husband and I that we can eat for a few days. It is also great for making food when we have company over. This oven would be perfect for a family of four, though you could also make enough for six without leftovers. The 7.5 quart dutch oven is perfect for a large family. I use this when we are eating with my brother and his children, or we are having several couples over and want left overs. My husband loves leftovers. I hope this helps. The only time I have ever written a review this long or detailed is for the Lodge enamel coated items. I really love these products and find them extremely useful. This casserole pan is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. ... show more

  • Fantastic Quality at a Fraction of the Price
Color: Oyster White
I bought this one first and loved it so much that I picked up the 6.5‑quart version at TJ Maxx because Amazon was out of the color I wanted, and I’m so glad I grabbed it. These have become my daily go‑to pieces in the kitchen. They heat evenly, clean easily, and perform every bit as well as my Le Creuset—just without the hefty price tag. For anyone who wants the durability and performance of high‑end enameled cast iron without spending a fortune, this line is an excellent choice. ... show more

  • Nice and BIG
Color: Caribbean Blue
The pot/pan itself is nice. It has all the benefits you would think an enameled cast iron braised would have, including plenty of surface area for searing/browning and plenty of heat retention for slow cooking/braising. The braised is larger than I imagined. The dimensions are accurately described but it is a BIG pan. Also, while the one I purchased was “used - mint” it did have chipped enamel on one of the handles. I’m keeping it because it’s probable that, over the years, I will chip it somewhere and it doesn’t affect the cooking ability of the pan. Why so many people insist on perfection when a blemish doesn’t really alter the usefulness … (let the reader finish the thought). ... show more

Love my 3.6 enalized cast iron pot. Very, very versatile for so many uses/recipes. Good value for the price. I think I will be using this for long time.
