I personally ordered the .4cm 12” locs. I wanted to add length to my existing locs. They arrived on time, actually, I think they came a day early so I definitely won’t complain about that at all. Upon arrival I inspected them. They appeared very well made and to the description the company specified. They are, in fact, real human hair. I did a burn test to check a small section for verification. Some other locs that I got from other companies have arrived in inferior condition compared to these. These DID NOT have a dirty/unpleasant smell. They were super easy to install with the included .5mm crochet needle. I did stitch them in for additional support as I have a different hair texture and want to ensure that these stay in the way I hope for them to do. I have had them in for about two weeks now and I am very satisfied. As a scuba instructor I am constantly in and out of the water and sun. These are holding up very well and I haven’t had to do any maintenance other than the typical palm rolling after I rinse all of the salt water out of them and wash my scalp. Overall, these are a huge value for the cost and I would definitely recommend buying these. I am a happy customer, for sure.

I plan to give an updated review at the 6-month mark. I got these locs in December of 2023. They came a day earlier than expected. They were stiff at first and had a slight smell (not bad but not good), but after soaking them in conditioner and warm water, they were less stiff and much softer, and any smell was replaced by my the scent of my conditioner. My hair before locs was aabout 2 inches long and my loctitian used a total of 90 locs for my head. I looked through A LOT of other options before buying these ones. The deciding factor for me was price, delivery time, and the fact these are supposedly human hair. I haven't had them in for too long but so far I love them. No stiffness, no itchiness, and no problems so far.

True to description !! BUT…..

February 15th - received My loc journey is a funny story this would be my third set of locs but my first set ever with extensions. These locs are true to description. I got the 4 inch 0.4 cm width locs. Definitely wash them before installing, I boiled mine in hot water and shampoo to start off with. Washed them three more times with hot tap water ( really until the water was clear ) and also conditioned them in water mixed with conditioner. I let those sit for about 15 minutes then washed them out again. Laid them on a towel blow dried them and started my install. They attach very well ( I attached them to started locs that I started myself ) , but if you don’t know what you’re doing I’d suggest going to a loctician or professional stylist. Now the locs are itchy even after washing so many times ( I believe just the texture of them makes it that way.) I’ve seen reviews with them getting bleached and dyed and I also plan to do that after a while just want to let my locs set in. It is definitely on the pricey side ($200-600) to get these installed by a professional so If you’re able to do it on your own DO IT! TIMES ARE HARD LOL. I will do my first retwist but after I will be going to a salon to get my hair done because that was the main reason of me cutting my last set off. ( got tired of doing it , couldn’t afford to get it done ) I’m up a little better money wise now. I will update with another picture of me freshly retwisted ! Update Feb 18th - retwist after installation Hair looks absolutely natural my husband loves it and says you couldn’t tell they are extension. THE ITCHINESS!!!!! My goodness you would’ve thought after all I did—-(boiling them , shampoo x3 and conditioning x2) would’ve made them soft and natural like. HONEY as soon as I get home I put my bonnet on. My neck is breaking out a bit from the itchiness of the locs. Like they’re scratchy as if it were synthetic hair. I’m going to the salon in a couple weeks to get them redone and styled maybe a steam treatment will help. In the meantime idk what to do about the itchiness other than wearing a bonnet after work hours. While I’m at work I find myself lifting up the collar of my shirt to protect my neck from the rough locs. Update: April 25th, 2025!!! Added pic with brown shirt is my locs now. 3 retwist later and they have grown and look more natural than when installing. They’re not as itchy as they were at first. They are still a little scratchy. I love them still and will continue to thrive with them.

They itch so bad!!😭😭😭

Omgggggg it itch soooo bad! I had them in for a week and i few day , I’m about to cut them out! They do shed a little bit, but not bad at all. I soaked them in apple cider vinegar 20 mins, rinsed. Then i soaked them in white vinegar for another 20 mins. Rinsed in cool water, then used dawn dish soap to make sure i got the smell out! Then i went in with a good clarifying shampoo, the a follow up with some silicone mix conditioner! Also i left that on for a few mins! To help loosen them up, cause they were stiff stiff! Like super stiff, the so doing all that helped loosen them up some! My scalp is itching like it’s synthetic hair mixed in here, that’s one thing I’m allergic too! I don’t think it’s 100% human hair. The vinegar should’ve neutralized the chemicals in synthetic hair… it’s the prickly little hairs that’s sticking out of the loc. i noticed that at first but i thought the conditioner would soften it up! It irritates my skin, even my husband said something about how they felt. You can even feel it through clothing …. Yikes The only good thing is that a lot of people liked them and thought they were natural! I really wish this style would’ve worked out!

I'm new to my loc journey and all I can say is these are a must have! They are soft yet strong and easy to work with. I haven't dyed them or anything yet, there is little to no shedding and no bad smell. I did the burn test and they are for sure 100% human hair! First impressions

Update: I ended up taking them out. They were very soft and when I put my hair in ponytails sometimes, I would lose one or they would break upon testing the shaft. Don’t waste ya money At first I wasn’t sure if they were going to be human hair or a mix. I got the 0.2 6 inches, it added 6 inches to my already existing locs and now they are a little bit past my shoulders, not OD. I was able to bleach some of the locs but they didn’t take the purple color too well. I tried dying it with the hot water method and dip it but didn’t see the change, then I covered them with the hair dye. I didn’t leave it on for no more than 15-30mins because I didn’t want to ruin them and I have no idea what I was doing. So far so good with the extensions, I will try to update to let yall know within the weeks how it’s going
