I use this tape to hold down my wooden work material on a CNC machine and so far I have no complaints, the stuff works as I had hoped and expected. The hold is firm yet pliable enough for me to remove the wood and the tape without any difficulty... nice. I had read some guys complaining about adhesive residue being left on the wood but I have experienced nothing like this. Working with low grade plywood, the tape sometimes does remove some of the less well attached embedded splinters in the original surface when being removed and that leaves a faint "trail" that is easily blended out in seconds using sandpaper... but that's not the tape's fault nor any kind of residue, its from using crappy plywood like I do. I finally got around to using this tape for my CNC machine. I held down a sheet of MDF to my spoilboard. I was concerned that it would not hold well, or would be hard to remove, or would damage MDF when I remove it. It worked very well. It was easy to apply, held the piece very well. It removed cleanly from MDF without damaging the surface, or leaving adhesive. Perfect. It does smell VERY bad, but functions perfectly. I was previously using painters tape and superglue. This was so much easier! I think it's my new go-to. ... show more

I use it to machine parts at work on a CNC machine. These parts are close tolerance and expensive so no room for error. This tape does the job. And amazes ppl that think it won't hold.
