My eight-year old loves these shoes. Probably too much. We've bought them a couple times as he's grown. They haven't held up perfectly (they start to stink after a while and wear thin), but to be fair he's hard on them as he plays (and put socks on, man!), and he's outgrowing them every few months anyways. I'll probably end up buying another pair in the next size up in a few months.

These shoes are cute, comfortable, and fit my son well. However, I bought them for basketball this winter. He doesn't wear them for games because there is little-to-no traction on the bottom. I've attempted using sandpaper on the bottom to create some grip with not much success. They are good shoes otherwise, just not the best for gym use.
