Some of these reviews are just mind boggling. Do these guys look like 5 miles of bad road? Absolutely. But they are literally called, “SCRUF.” I’m not sure what kind of fairy magic people thought their kids were going to work on a tightly wound surprise ball of fur with a bath and a brush. My kids love these. Scruf and all. And I do mean everything about them. They love trying to guess what they are and seeing what they turn out to be. They love bathing them and brushing them and playing games with them. They take them everywhere. I’ve got one kid that actually even wrote a book about the adventures of her scruf a luvs. Same kid that gets visibly angry when her teacher wants her to string together a complete sentence for a test. It’s a dozen pages PLUS illustrations. Even their cousins are begging for these guys now because they see how much fun my girls have with them. It’s the one thing they REALLY want for Christmas this year. We probably already have far too many of these stuffed animals looking like they’ve been through the arena during the Hunger Games or survived some sort of zombie apocalypse, but these girls of mine are hard core fans and I can’t wait to see their faces when they open an entire family of these dysfunctional little dudes. So if you’re looking for some kind of sweet, super soft and fluffy, stuffed animal for your kiddo to set on their bed and look cute, you probably want to keep looking. I promise you this is not it. Pros - Great gift. Our granddaughter was thrilled. Cons - Took a little bit to dry to play with, of course. We used a hair dryer to speed up the process.

The media could not be loaded. I like this product it did come with babies but I couldn’t show the babies cause I lost them it’s still in pretty good shape but I wouldn’t recommend using a blow dryer and this brushing it afterwards you might want to blow dry it and brush it in the middle of doing the hair drying, but this was my first time doing it, so it’s a little Derby ... show more

After my 8yr old daughter saw one commercial it was over. Her must haves for Christmas. She opened both this morning and these crunchy balls were hard and matted. I get the concept. I didn't consider that it's a lot of time to take out, to spend Christmas morning, just so she can play with her gift. She on the other hand had no patience to spend 20+ mins brushing out starch. So after a failed attempt of turning this mangy looking stuffed animal into something. She decided she wanted to wash and get it over with. So we popped all the animals in the wash in hot water, color safe dye free detergent, and a bit of softener. Let it sit for 20 mins and then let it go through the wash before quickly hair drying dry.
