The ladder is far more sturdy than I expected at its full extension of 15'. I also have the platform. I feel very comfortable at 60+ using this ladder. I have figured out how to incrementally raise the ladder from its fully retracted position to its fully extended. It works great for 2 story staircase uses. Keep in mind that it does require about 10' when fully extended, but still only 36" wide. Excellent solution for painting, drywall work, changing light bulbs, cleaning foyer lights. It is unexpectedly easier to move around at around 8' in length full collapsed and folded. Great value considering you could probably easily sell it to a contractor. ... show more

    • Great ladder for tall open spaces but have a flat base, a friend to help and lots of room

Superbly stable A frame ladder with a great, dependable design. Once it’s up, there is very little flex or wiggle, making the trip up and down by you and your assistant much less stressful. The base protectors on the feet are non-marking and didn’t hurt my nice new hardwood flooring. Only downside is the locking mechanism, unlike the other Little Giant A frames, doesn’t allow adjustments as easily and the ladder really needs to be fully laid flat before any height adjustments can be made. The frame could be perfected by widening the tines on the upper ladder to allow for a wider base for your feet (especially so high up), adding the same locking mechanism as they have on their smaller ladders, and allowing for variable height adjustments on the individual feet as they have on their smaller ladders. The ladder has, owing to its very wide base, a need for a large open space to raise and lower it, which cannot be done safely with one person - just be aware. ... show more

    • Good ladder overall, but shipping these things are brutal

It's hard to beat the versatility of a SkyScraper over a regular extra-large stepladder, but the price is also skyscraper like. Also shipping these things are brutal, so even though you ordered a new one, after the brutality of LTL shipping you'll likely receive what looks like a used one instead - and be sure to fully inspect for damages before accepting delivery. Though SkyScrapers are very sturdy, and easily support the weight, they are a bit shaky going up and down. Also, the instructions on how to setup are terrible. You'll find using a medium stepladder to assist raising and lowering a SkyScraper makes it way easy and takes up vastly less space (ie. spread legs a bit apart, then raise up or down 1 to 2 rungs at a time alternating sides). I found it a lot safer doing it this way as well. Also, unless it's damaged, you can forget about returning it as you will have to pay the return shipping, which can be more than what you paid for the ladder. ... show more

This ladder is expensive (for me) but worth every penny if you like doing your own projects SAFELY. The ladder is extremely sturdy and i feel safe even at towards the top. Great Ladders ~ All the Little Giants and I have 3 of them, this one though is not Little. Fantastic ladder and very stable, a typical 2 man ladder operation to be on the safe side, however I've open it and set it up/ take it down on my own.
