  • Little Book With Beautiful Photos
Jessica Bumpus, a freelance fashion journalist and author, wrote this small coffee table book in the Welbeck line of fashion houses, which to date has profiled 26 different design houses. Well-written and engaging, Bumpus shares her deep knowledge of the fashion industry by chronicling the history of the iconic Spanish fashion house, which began with the relocation of founder Enrique Loewe Roessberg to Madrid in the late 1800s. Long known or its leather-craft, the fashion house produced fine leatherwork at the end of the century. After the turn of the century, Leowe produced beautiful and sought-after purses and eventually branched out into other fashion. A luxury brand, Loewe expanded its operations with stores in major metropolitan areas, and is especially iconic in Asia. Loewe has dressed many celebrities at high profile events, including Anna Wintour, the former editor of Vogue and artistic director for Conde Nast. Under Jonathan Anderson's guidance, the brand has continued to grow and expand, especially in its men's wear category. While not as well-known by non-fashionistas, Loewe has continued to produce colorful and original fashion-forward designs. Nice little read. ... show more

  • Models seldom smile @ Loewe
Jessica Bumpus's book called; Little Book of Loewe, part of a series of diminutive books of fashion is full of information about a particular fashion design house. Information comes as words and photographs on quality paper. There are 25 books to the series which can be purchased on-line for Kindle. My son is involved in designer high-end men's fashion so I ordered the book to learn more about fashion, share in his knowledge base, or at least have some material of conversation which I can add. What I discovered was much information I did not know, fashion is topsy turvy, and remain believing fashion can be beautiful and ugly and is often designed for wealthy patrons. This little book is informative, at times some art concepts and figures of speech are misused to glorify popular trend, words as ornamental as the fabric covering the models, which seemed apropos. This is a nice primer and would make a nice gift. ... show more

  • Cute Little Fashion Book
This little book is really cute. It's like a mini coffee table book, and of course a little fashion brand 101 as it pertains to the Spanish fashion house, Loewe. The book arrived well packaged with no damaged corners or pages. Despite it's compact size, there are plenty of hi resolution images and many pages to look through. It's hardbacked and bound and of a good quality. I was initially concerned that it would be a glorifies booklet but it's much ore than that. It's part of a set of fashion books, there are also Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Bottega Veneta. I will of course have to order all of them to complete the collection. I can 100% recommend. ... show more

  • It's ok
I ordered 3 different books in this style separately and they all came with spine damage which tells me that they're not stored or packed very well. I've seen these books at decor stores for about the same price, which at $14 feels a little high. While you could read it, obviously the font is tiny since it's a mini book and more made as a decor piece than reading material. It's...meh. ... show more

  • A beautifully photographed, but small coffee table book
This small coffee table book describing the history Loewe fashion house is gorgeously photographed, and well bound. It provides a historic overview of the European fashion house, with rich insights to what makes them unique. This book is, however, quite small, roughly the size of an airport paperback. But the beautiful color of the cover allows it to be displayed as a decoration and a book. ... show more

  • Small but Beautiful
This is a lovely book, that would work great as a coffee table book, especially in smaller spaces. The paper/book quality is luxe, photos are vibrant, writing is engaging and informative, and the fashion gorge. I would love to have the collection of "Little Books of Fashion. It would make a nice gift for the fashionista in your life, or one who just appreciates beauty. ... show more

  • Great decor, beautiful color
This book is such a beautiful shade of lilac and perfect as a coffee table or bedroom decor book. I grabbed this one in particular because it matches my daughter’s room. I love that not only is this a cute book but it’s great to learn the story. Even my 11 yr old is interested in learning more and she’s not a fan of reading. ... show more
