  • Great little book on Loewe
Format: Hardcover
I actually didn't know much about the fashion house, Loewe but I love everything to do with fashion. I really enjoyed reading this little book and learning about the history of this fashion house and looking at all of the great photos of all of the amazing couture pieces. This is a great book to adorn any coffee or side table and is a great addition to any fashion lover's bookshelf. ... show more

  • Little Book With Beautiful Photos
Format: Hardcover
Jessica Bumpus, a freelance fashion journalist and author, wrote this small coffee table book in the Welbeck line of fashion houses, which to date has profiled 26 different design houses. Well-written and engaging, Bumpus shares her deep knowledge of the fashion industry by chronicling the history of the iconic Spanish fashion house, which began with the relocation of founder Enrique Loewe Roessberg to Madrid in the late 1800s. Long known or its leather-craft, the fashion house produced fine leatherwork at the end of the century. After the turn of the century, Leowe produced beautiful and sought-after purses and eventually branched out into other fashion. A luxury brand, Loewe expanded its operations with stores in major metropolitan areas, and is especially iconic in Asia. Loewe has dressed many celebrities at high profile events, including Anna Wintour, the former editor of Vogue and artistic director for Conde Nast. Under Jonathan Anderson's guidance, the brand has continued to grow and expand, especially in its men's wear category. While not as well-known by non-fashionistas, Loewe has continued to produce colorful and original fashion-forward designs. Nice little read. ... show more

  • Lovely!
Format: Hardcover
This is a lovely little book. It is a sturdy hard cover with a simple design. It would make an excellent addition to a display. I am a collager (sometimes) and wanted it for the images. It makes a great addition to my collection of cuttables. :)

  • Fashionista Decor
Format: Hardcover
The "Little Books of Fashion" Collection is a fantastic series for anyone interested in learning about the different Houses and designers, and would also look amazing as useful decor on any fashionista's shelf! Measuring only a little over 7" tall by 5", they are compact with simple, solid color hardcovers, filled with pages reflecting on history, highlights and celebrities associated with the brand. The $15ish price makes them great gifts and collectable, too! As I am collecting these books for my fashion-interested daughter, I wasn't really familiar with Loewe. I enjoyed reading the book and learning about the history, and taking in the beautiful photography of some of their pieces. A must-have for any fan, and would look perfect displayed with your favorite Loewe piece! ... show more

  • A Beautiful Book with Stunning Photography
Format: Hardcover
This book is honestly beautiful. The cover itself looks so chic and makes a great coffee table piece, but what really impressed me were the photos inside. The images are crisp, vibrant, and feel really high quality — you can almost see the texture of the leather and the details in every design. I found myself flipping through the pages again and again just to enjoy the visuals. It’s not too heavy or overwhelming, but still feels rich and inspiring. If you love fashion or just appreciate a well-made book with gorgeous photography, this is such a joy to have. ... show more

  • Well, That Was Fun!
Format: Hardcover
I know nothing about high fashion, but have always enjoyed the whole concept of this culture and looking at the creative designs. This book looked cute and I thought it would be interesting to look through. This little book offers a nice glimpse into Loewe. The writer shows clear enthusiasm for the brand which is apparent in her passionate writing style and thorough history. I enjoyed reading about the beginnings and it was interesting to see how Loewe went on to develop. Though I won’t be in the market for Loewe anytime soon (ha!), this is a great little book to have on my coffee table for when friends and family visit and need to see a picture of a water balloon dress. ... show more

  • Models seldom smile @ Loewe
Format: Hardcover
Jessica Bumpus's book called; Little Book of Loewe, part of a series of diminutive books of fashion is full of information about a particular fashion design house. Information comes as words and photographs on quality paper. There are 25 books to the series which can be purchased on-line for Kindle. My son is involved in designer high-end men's fashion so I ordered the book to learn more about fashion, share in his knowledge base, or at least have some material of conversation which I can add. What I discovered was much information I did not know, fashion is topsy turvy, and remain believing fashion can be beautiful and ugly and is often designed for wealthy patrons. This little book is informative, at times some art concepts and figures of speech are misused to glorify popular trend, words as ornamental as the fabric covering the models, which seemed apropos. This is a nice primer and would make a nice gift. ... show more

  • It's ok
Format: Hardcover
I ordered 3 different books in this style separately and they all came with spine damage which tells me that they're not stored or packed very well. I've seen these books at decor stores for about the same price, which at $14 feels a little high. While you could read it, obviously the font is tiny since it's a mini book and more made as a decor piece than reading material. It's...meh. ... show more
