Looks nice so far, like high quality turf or grass, not like a cheap putting green. It really enhanced the ambience of my balcony. You can see before/after in my pictures. It got snowed on soon after I put it out and seems to be in fine condition now that the snow has melted. Contrary to what some other reviews said, I did not find it difficult to cut where I needed with ordinary scissors. The key was to start cutting from one of the drainage holes on the bottom.

I loved this so much that I ordered a second one a couple of weeks after ordering my first. Some other reviewers complained about color mismatches when they ordered more. And in my case, yes - the second one seemed much lighter and shinier than the first one. But it's not because of a color mismatch. It's because this thing darkened and became more real as it fluffed up. I noticed that when I got my first one, it was really shiny. But it's not anymore I just put the second one out tonight. And the color looks like a total mismatch, even after I tried to fluff the whole thing up with my hands, and had my kids run around on it. But then I took a hairbrush and aggressive brushed a section of it ... and that part now perfectly matches the one that's been out for a few weeks. I really think the issue is that these have multiple colors in them, and the lighter color appears on top until the whole thing fully fluffs out. This is really a great artificial grass. The pictures don't do this grass justice. It's MUCH better in person than it looks in the pictures. Give it a couple of days before you judge it. It gets darker and less shiny after you let it air out. The only downside - it gets hot. If you've got a midday sun right above you and 80+ degree weather, you will definitely not be able to walk on this barefoot during that direct heat. It's Memorial Day weekend. I live in Seattle. It was in the 80's here today. We all played in the backyard. At midday, we had to put shoes on because some spots were just too hot. In the evening, it was still in the 80's, but without the direct sunlight, and the grass was cool to touch and to walk on. It's not the ambient temperature - it's just about whether the sun is beating down on it. It's plastic. That's going to be true of any synthetic grass. I'm not dinging the product for it - just saying, make sure you know that if you put this in an area where direct sunlight beats down on it, it will be too hot to walk on barefoot. Even with that, I'm buying more. I love it. I love my backyard again. I feel like I've had more quality time in my backyard with my kids in the last 3 days than I had with them in the last 3 years.

We had a barren spot on our pool patio where bushes once were. This was a great option; easy to maintain and much prettier than a dirt spot. This stuff gets HOT, so barefoot beware! And my dog won't place a paw on it (either the heat or texture). Placing anything on it wears it down quick - treat it like shag carpet. Leaf Blower is a quick clean up. Being an odd shape we had to trim to fit. Install was a breeze with the right tools. Heavy duty scissors WILL NOT DO! I must recommend getting a carpet cutter tool, worked great! We used the nail type pins, and holds it in place perfectly. If Placing on solid dirt, I also recommend a light 1/2" - 1" layer of all purpose sand before install. It gives it a little extra cushion and quicker drainage between it and the dirt.
