  • When in a Tight Spot, You're Glad You Have This Tool!
I had my eye on this small hose clamp vise for a while & finally bought it to use on a clamp on the return power steering hose to the PS reservoir when I did a full fluid flush of the power steering fluid on a 2007 Toyota Corolla. The beauty of it is it's not as bulky as the hose clamp removal tool I have, that although very useful, has that long cable and the longer grips that you ratchet down to the size of the constant tension clamp you're trying to remove. With the square depression on the knurled wheel to facilitate using a 1/4" ratchet when you need to apply extra torque, you can really compress a constant tension clamp quite easily. I anticipate using it on the constant tension clamps on a 2006 Toyota Camry 3.0 that clamp the ends of the power steering hose that goes from the reservoir to the power steering pump as I have to replace that hose next. It's a common repair on the Camrys as the rubber hose hardens & then leaks as it ages. Specifically, the CT clamp that connects to the power steering pump side is in a difficult position that you have to access from underneath the vehicle, so it just makes the job a little less difficult. A little expensive, but this is a solidly built tool that is invaluable when you need it. ... show more

  • This thing saved me a couple of times where hose clamp pliers failed
You probably won't use this tool very often, but it sure does come in really handy in tight spaces where hose clamp pliers just won't work. In one case, a had to remove a spring clamp on a cooling line running to a throttle body and this was the only thing that could get in there to release the clamp. ... show more

  • Very happy with the purchase
I bought this tool after watching a YouTube video where the tool was mentioned. My Dodge Grand Caravan developed a leak in the heater check valve (which eventually broke off entirely). The hose clamps were in a very tight area which made it almost impossible to use vice grips. Thanks to this wonderful tool, the hose clamps came off fast and easy! ... show more
