I was skeptical at first, no real videos demonstrating use linked to site and the mixed reviews on here. Let me clarify one time, it ABSOLUTELY WORKS. Drove out 12 year old u joints in a rusty driveshaft with little to no issues. The trick is to hold the opposing trunion in a solid fixture like a vise, apply a bit of penetrating oil and go to town with a QUALITY air hammer. Your $20 Harbour freight one isn’t going to cut it. I use a long barrel Matco and it worked beautifully. Honestly the hardest part of the job was getting the retention clips out and unfortunately several of them broke which needed their own special method to remove them. Anyway u joints have always been a job I loathed, because I’d use a combination of a vice, ball joint press, or a hammer bit in my air hammer and had mixed results in one or another method and have actually had a couple caps explode sending schapnel into my arm. Definitely recommend this to anyone who replaces u joint on a regular basis to not only sped the process up but also makes it a whole lot safer to remove them.

I was ready to leave a 1 or 2 star review when my air chisel started acting up, so I went to replace it. Once I got the new air chisel, this tool worked flawlessly. Before I got the new air chisel and was using my old one (Harbor Freight), it took forever to see any results and sometimes wouldn't even work. Once I got the new air chisel (Husky), it took me literally 1 minute to remove a u joint and this tool worked great. My point is, make sure you have a good air chisel before trying this, because as was in my case, the tool was fine but my air chisel was the problem.

After 40, time consuming Years of beating out U-joints, Along Comes This miracle! The first time using it I was able to get both Yokes and both joints out of the drive shaft in less than 5 minutes. Then I used the tool to install the U joints and yokes in about the same amount of time.

Some reviews said to buy the harbor freight version. Some said this wasn't actually Lisle. So I went to harbor freight, and they didn't have one in stock, grrr. Ended up ordering this one. It is indeed Lisle, in correct packaging and all. I'm using this to drive in T-posts, not u-joints. It is fine basic steel hammer attachment. just buy it.

So, I was a little bit disappointed in this as I had higher expectations. But it didn't cost much and it does work on the super easy and clean u joints. But is more headache than anything on regular (1/2 ton truck u joints with minimal rust ie aluminum shafts)

I had high hopes for this. It seemed well built, I just couldn't get it to work on the U-joint. I watched some videos on line to see how to use it. Maybe my u-joint was stuck more than others but this did not work for me no matter how I used it. I returned it. Amazon was great.

This is not a Lisle tool, its a knock off in a Lisle paper box. junk! don't waste your money. I think someone is doing the old bait and switch with a Lisle box and a cheap imported tool.

this tool is the exact same thing you get from harbor freight for thirty bucks. only its 100 dollars higher than that. it doesnt say lisle anywhere on the the tool, packaging or paperwork. all it says is taiwan. i was lazy and didnt return it but should have. i did a lot of research before buying one of these because i wanted to buy american. its nothing like the picture but is exactly like a harbor freight. ya it does the job, but save ur money and just catch the HF one on sale for 30 bucks and get the same thing. truely disappointed
