WOW! That pretty much sums up the words needed to describe this tool. I bought this to hone out the cylinders in a Ford Ranger 3.0 I recently got. The previous owner ran it hot. Super hot. Three pistons were melted and the cylinders had minor scoring. I was able to use this tool to take out .003 of material with ease. Also making the cylinders true in the process. Only complaint would be that the stones seem to wear out fast but I took out a good bit of material from 3 cylinders and still have enough meat to do another engine most probably. I would recommend this tool for anyone that does any engine work. It's easy to set up and use and way cheaper than sending the block in to the machine shop. ... show more

Looks like a good product. Seems well packaged in sturdy box and in a sturdy plastic case but Lisle puts the stones inside the case without anything to prevent the items from moving around. When I received it it sounded like a maraca. Opened it up and one set of stones was destroyed and the other chipped. Mass of hone body was able to wreck delicate stones due to no stuffing preventing movement. Talked to their support and they did send me both sets of stones after a discussion on the packaging problem. So expect for a while old stock to be poorly packaged and a possible delay but they are aware of the issue and support should get you fixed up if something does go wrong. ... show more

Paid 214.34 for the tool it broke under normal use. Seller is deducting $19.00 from the purchase price because they can. The tool broke, I should have gotten a full refund, which the seller is taking their sweet time returning. They have the broken tool back but so far no refund. Giving them another 24 hours before filing a claim through Amazon. Hopefully this helps a future buyer save their money. ... show more
