This board was purchased for my 8 year old son to help him safely learn the ends/outs of surfing and to make sure he would like it after trying it out this summer without splurging on a "real" board. The size is comfortable to him and he easily carries it over his head. The first couple of days were trial and error which gave way to some frustration due to poor surf conditions. After his initial trials he has come out looking closer and closer like a mini surfer. This past weekend the surf was perfect and I felt confident enough to let him paddle out with the older guys. He still has much learning to do but this board was a smart choice based on price and safety. The fins were a little tough to place on the board but having a dull fin instead of a sharp fin that may cut him or another person is a godsend. The board provides rigidity but also the "soft" form adds another safety bonus. I would highly recommend this board for younger kids who want to surf as the cost is much easier to absorb should they decide they hate surfing.

Enough float and mass to catch the smaller waves necessary for my kids to learn on (4 and 7). Flexes just a bit but not bad for a soft board. I would not recommend this for anyone over 150#s. I am 150 and can surf it pretty good on pretty small waves too flexy once the waves get bigger and doing harder turns. For kids 100# or less just getting into catching waves on their own and standing this is a great and safe way to start.

We got this board for our 5 year old and it was the best board ever to start surfing. She had surfed with it so much! At least twice a week. You can wax it, it doesn’t come with a leash but it comes with fins. She loved it! I ordered a second one because she is not quite ready for a short board and it would be nice for her to continue shredding more with this kind of board. She is 5, knows how to swim and has gotten so confident she soon can transition to something more expensive maybe.

It isn’t 6 feet as the description says. It’s 5’10. It also didn’t come with a leash which is annoying. I had to go get one. It is not a quality made board. The wave storm from Costco is cheaper, way better quality, and comes with a leash. Other than those, the board perform okay for my son. Not too heavy.

I bought this board for my two boys to learn to surf ages 4 and 6. Very safe and stable along with very easy to paddle. This board was instrumental in creating a foundation where they could easily transition from paddling and wiping out to standing up and going down the line laterally. The older one has now moved on to a conventional shortboard and the younger one is still using the liquid shredder. I had a few friend try it out on head high surf and they ripped it with this board. Good entry price for a first surfboard! Definitely recommend!

I'm a beginner/intermediate surfer weighing 100 lbs and 5'4'' tall, and needed to go back to a foamie after my 6'5'' epoxy surfboard gave me one too many injuries (and I hated my Costo 8 foot one because it was too heavy and I kept nose-diving on waves). It took me about a month to re-learn how to get up on this board surfing 2-3 times a week (I think the 6'5'' to 6' downgrade was a bit too much for my level at that time), but now that I've gotten past that I LOVE this board! It has a lot of scratches on the top due to it being a soft top, but I'm getting my green waves and getting up on white wash with no problems again AND it's small enough to carry around. I keep scouring the internet to see what my next board will be, but I really can't think of any other one that suits me better than this board (considering I'm scared to death of epoxy boards now after my injuries)!

Product delivered with a big crease on the bottom where the nose was obviously dented in. Was going to return it but then realized it was gonna take more than a month for the new one to arrive, and I have an 11-year-old anxiously wanting to use the board this summer so just kept it.

I got this board because I drive a Honda Civic and needed a beginner board that was compact but very buoyant. This board has been perfect to learn on. The packaging kinda messed with the original shape of the board but I didn't bother to return it because I was trying to start surfing ASAP.
