From the packaging to the pigment to the overall formulation this is an obvious attempt to dupe the Rare Beauty blushes that are all the rage. They definitely hit the mark, it's a very pigmented blush that goes on similarly and lasts well. I have a number of the Rare Beauty blushes and love them so I knew what to expect when I got this, I actually didn't think that this would be as pigmented so I was surprised to find that it was. I love liquid blushes, but if you're looking for just a hint of color this is probably not going to be your blush. I also wasn't super happy with the color when it showed up because I am very fair and cool toned and the color was definitely more on the brownish orange spectrum which generally doesn't work for me, nor do I care for the looks of that color. Surprisingly this actually worked better with my skin tone than I expected and I will use it more during warmer months. It's sad that the color range is so limited though, I'm unsure why it is, but maybe that is all they have stocked currently. I won't be giving up my Rare Beauty, but if you want a similar outcome for less money this should work for you within it's limited color palette. ... show more

This liquid blush comes in a very pretty container which resembles a well known, high end brand. I've not used the high end brand I'm referring to, so I cannot compare the two, but this blush is STRONG. I ordered shade #4, which is pretty dark. I used two dots on each cheek and, oh my, it was way too much! I think just the tiniest amount would provide plenty of color for my cheeks. The formula is easily blendable and thankfully, it was easy to remove the excess with my damp makeup sponge, by patting my cheeks lightly. It dries down to a powder-like finish, has good lasting power, and can look nice, if you are very careful with how much you use. It is way more orange/brown than I was expecting. The best example/sample provided is probably the bottom picture where they show all of the different colors on the same model. The main picture of color #4 looks more rose colored than what I got. The bottle design is really fun. However, I’m not a fan of the applicator. Two very small dots gave me way more color than I needed. I tried to blend the color into my face, but it was pretty splotchy. I think this blush needs to be applied on top of fresh moisturizer or foundation to reduce the splotchiness. I have a spot on my cheek that never really rubbed in very well. ... show more

Use sparingly, a little goes a long way. Just a two small dots of this blush along the cheekbone is a good place to start. It's buildable, and blends in nicely. I got the #4 color and it's a bit more on the orange side than I expected. Since it's so sheer, you really can use it on almost any skin tone and it can be blended easily with your foundation. This blush's packaging is what intrigued me because it looks almost identical to the Rare Beauty blush, but that one's 20+ dollars. I was very happy when I received this blush, because the shade was at the top and it just was very aesthetically pleasing. It's even glass! What really shocked me was that the applicator even had the little heart in the middle!!! It's so cute and definitely made the blush worth it. However, when I took it out the stopper was very loose, so it didn't control the amount of blush that came out. The blush itself felt very oily almost. It was patchy and streaky and didn't blend well at all. I tried it on my hand, with my fingers, with a brush, and with a beauty blender, here's what I will say. With a brush, it was definitely overpowering but took a while to sort it out and make it look normal. With a beauty blender, it sort of just moved around the dot I had placed on my cheek until I worked at it for a while. It was definitely the worst with my fingers, because it was streaky and patchy, and just didn't blend well. I'm going to start with the admission that I do not wear a ton of makeup. I have always tried to go for a more natural look so I don't use heavy liquid makeup, just a light application of liquid makeup followed by a little powder. I've tried more than once to use this product but have ended up looking like a clown (much like the pictures used in this product description). Even when I used a sponge that had just the tiniest amount of product on it came out looking too intense. I will likely see if any of my friends can use it because I just can't. Like liquid eyeshadow, liquid blush doesn't blend very well and you must work quickly. However, liquids provide a much stronger blush than powders do and can be glossy and overpowering if you use too much. Absolutely great if you like that Asian doll-look with strong under-eye blush.

Yes, this looks like the infamous dup. But it’s not the same formula. It’s very pigmented and drys fast so you have to blend quickly. I would suggest doting your beauty blender first then working it into your cheeks for better coverage and spread. It does stay on all day and if applied correctly it looks great. ... show more
