Introduction: I have owned many chargers over the years of being in RC. From the old timer based NiCd chargers to very expensive intelligent chargers. This was my first touch screen charger though and it has earned a place on my workbench. The price is a good value for the features that you get on this unit. Seller: I had an issue with the first one I purchased. I contacted the seller (AorikaBeauty) and they were quick to respond and VERY helpful. We traded several emails and they provided me excellent service. The seller did an exchange for me and it was a simple process. It's good to have a seller that is so responsive. Pros: First it allows you to use either AC or DC input for the charger. Operation with either source is the same as is the output wattage for charging. Once powered up you'll see a nice bright screen with all of the options presented. It's nice to be able to go directly to any of the features with out scrolling or pushing buttons multiple times - it's simple, direct access makes it quick and easy. Several battery chemistries are supported so no matter what you're charing, you're going to be covered. I use it primarily for LiPo, but the high voltage lipo, lead acid, nicd, etc are all supported. Each one has a dedicated button and specific settings for that program. It also will check the internal resistance (IR) of your LiPo batteries to help you keep an eye on their health and track that over time. Also, the charging screen has a nice graph and statistics to show you exactly what the charger is doing and the current state of charge. For more details (on multi cell Lithium packs) you can go to the monitor screen to see each individual cell's current voltage. One other feature I really like is that you can store 6 user settings. That way you can just select the one you want and not have to change any of the parameters - This is a feature I didn't think I'd use but I use it every time! Included in the box are 2 balancing boards, an AC cord, a dc power cord and multiple connectors for 4 different battery connectors. Cons: I would have liked to see a different "octopus" type cable for the various battery connectors. What is provided does work assuming you have Deans, XT60 but not EC3/EC5. Not a big deal but something to note. Not necessarily a con, but something to be aware of. The monitor screen requires you to have both the balance lead and the power lead connected to the charger for accurate readings. If you don't have the power lead connected, the voltages shown are inaccurate. Conclusion: If you're in the market for a compact charger that is easy to use I would recommend this one. I underestimated how much I'd like the direct access menu where everything is just one click away. No scrolling or pushing buttons 5 times to get to the settings. With features like the battery monitor and IR meter for your cells, it's a great value for the price. ... show more

Does not have EC5 connectors, but the charger does everything you need for LiPo batteries up to 6S. Balance Charge, Storage Charge, and Discharge with a touch of a button. Smart technology even knows what battery you’ve got connected. You can adjust the current or just do the auto settings it provides. Love the touch screen! ... show more

Only had a week, but so far am very pleased! Only improvement would be if they included some EC3/5 adapters also, seem to have almost everything else. But very easy to use, a novice can get started right away, and also has advanced features. Oh, one more improvement would be more than 6 memory choices for batteries, as I use three for storage and three for balance charge settings, and I have many more batteries with different Mah sizes! So that would be nice if had more ability to save more so could get started just that much faster. But so far, so good, seems high quality, and easy to use ... show more

First unit lasted 6 weeks. The second unit caught fire! I was recharging two relatively new (6 months old, probably ~20 recharges on them) 2S Lipo batteries (Zeee 5500mAh 7.4V 60C 2S Hard case LiPo Battery) at the same time. Both were on the charger for about 2 hours, and I know my batteries took usually 1hr 15 min to fully charge. Then - my wife smelled something burning, and I ran out to the garage and saw a 5 foot flame coming from the charger / battery / LiPo bag that was sitting on my metal tool box (relatively burn proof, right?). It nearly caught my whole house on fire, the flame was 5 feet tall and scorching my drywall. Soot covered my entire 2.5 car garage the top 4 feet from the ceiling. It was a full fire damage cleanup required in my garage - de-soot, reseal, repaint). Everything had to be wiped down and rinsed off. What a (contained) catastrophe, and potential house fire nightmare barely escaped. So, a few lessons: 1) Don't trust this charger (LiPo Battery Charger Touch Screen Sual Balance Discharger Duo DC240W) to auto-off. I'm going with something else altogether - I believe this charger didn't auto-off thus causing an over-charge (which is the primary root causes of LiPo battery fires. 2) Always charge in a fireproof location (DO NOT trust the crappy LiPo bags (COLCASE Fireproof Explosionproof Lipo Safe Bag). Next time, I'm going with an ammo crate to recharge / store in, and I'm going to recharge / store outside. 3) Stay within eyesight when charging LiPo batteries. My bad for leaving this unattended, and for an extra 45 minutes on charge. 4) Have a smoke detector and extinguisher wherever you are charging LiPo batteries. If i didn't have a fire extinguisher nearby, my house would have been party gone. I'm velcroing a smoke detector on my ammo crate once I get around to buying new batteries. ... show more
