We've tried several different brands of toy swords, including soft foam ones and hard plastic, and these are by far the best. My grandsons--ages 2, 6 and 8--all love them. The design on them is beautiful, they are short enough to fit in a suitcase to take on vacation, and it would be difficult (never say impossible) to hurt anyone with one. Bought two swords and two shields for my grandsons 3 and 5. They loved them. Played hard with these for hours on end. Still in excellent condition. I found these to be worth the money.

It's ok... expected something a bit sturdier for the pricetag. Very soft, I'd call it flimsy. Nothing like the nerf swords. Flip side is it should be extremely safe for children.
