  • New LED lights and smarter connections
These are great LED lights used on my 18' center console fisihing / dive boat. I keep it in my driveway on the trailer. Good construction, just make sure all your connections are waterproof. Youtube is great for that. The LED is sealed and yes water can get in and drain out... but effects nothing. Good purchase. ... show more

  • Led trailer lights.
Put these lights on. Only put boat in 3 time and bottom row of leds are dead. They look good but. Water proof is not waterproof these days. Good luck.

  • Good product
Well made except the wires are too thin. Should be a higher gauge. Broke two wires while putting on wire twists.

  • Good Until It Wasn't
The kit comes with pretty much everything you could ask for. Looks like decent quality stuff. Time will tell if these lights will continue to work after a few submersions, but for now they resolved my burnt out light issue and look good. Well packaged and very complete. Update: Less than a year old and the right lamp is out. It has probably seen water about 15 times. Connections are sealed. Best I can tell is it just failed. Pretty disappointing it didn't make it a year. ... show more

  • Just Don't Work
Bought this to replace/upgrade the “bulb” lights on my boat trailer that were working fine – 4.4 stars with 2,334 ratings they had to be good. I figured it would be easier to do with the boat off the trailer so I launched the boat for my boys at 1:00 PM and when home to get working. I was tempted to use the existing wiring, but decided to replace it with the wiring provided. Directions were clear and followed exactly. I ran the new wires and got everything connected in about 1 hour. The hardest part was gathering up to tools. Before shrinking the waterproof connectors and covering them with shrink tubing, I had my wife start the Rav4 to see if the lights worked. Brakes, turn signals, brakes and turn signals together – all worked. Turned on running lights and they worked although they seemed to be “small” in the rear. Now to the issue, the brakes and turn signals did not work with the running lights on and I figured it was a bad ground. I redid the ground wire coming out of the harness and actually ran a second ground using self-tapping screw directly into the trailer – still didn’t work. I the tested each ground separately by disconnecting and reconnecting and all were fine which I expected since brakes/directional and running lights worked separately, but not together. NOTE: The Rav4 is an Adventure series that can tow 3500 lbs and came with Toyota installed towing package so there is enough power to run trailer lights (and the bulb lights worked fine). However, just in case I hooked he trailer up to my truck with pin converter (with test lights showing it was getting power/blinking ) – still the same issue. It was nearly 5:00 PM and I went back through everything to check if I made a mistake – nope. I searched the internet and Amazon and found an interesting review about the wire being cooper and a pigtail issue. My boys called and wanted to get picked up so I heat shrank all the connectors before leaving. After loading the boat, the running lights no longer worked when the running light were turned on, but the brake and turn signals worked which is exactly opposite if the prior issue. The next morning I hooked up my other boat trailer, utility trailer, and snow mobile trailer – all lights worked fine. I am putting the bulb lights back on. ... show more

  • BRigHt and niCe
The media could not be loaded. I used this on my old bayliner trailer. Perfect fit for a 17 foot boat. Housing worked perfectly for the frame. My piece of advise is make sure you have a good connection to your ground wiring. My trailer was rusty so I had to drill a new nail hole so it was touching the metal properly. Nice lights! ... show more

  • Great kit at a cheap price
This is a great kit. I have had a few problems with it though which I will share here: First, the included blue plastic splice connectors work great but they are not waterproof. I have had them corrode and fail after a year. If you need true water resistance, then I would recommend either dipping the entire splice in some epoxy after it’s assembled or using a different connection method. Second, use extreme caution when mounting the lights. If you over tighten the hardware even just a little bit, then the plastic housing will crack, the light will no longer be waterproof, and it could start to fail after a few times being submerged. I would recommend tightening the studs/nuts to the lowest tightness that will still give you a secure fit, and then relying on a thread locking compound to prevent it from loosening. Despite these issues I would still give the kit 5 stars because it was so inexpensive and despite the problems I was able to make it last a year before I had to really go back in and fix anything. ... show more
