My house has wood beam construction. During the dry winter some of the beams contract leaving gaps where they abut wallboard. This is perfect for closing those 0.25 inch gaps. You can select the width based on how many if the preset strands you peel off. The putty has a nice tack to it and is easy to work. I used this as a temporary fix. Nice thing is that unlike latex caulk, this material is easily removable. Highly recommended by this home somewhat-handy guy.

Great crack filler! I used this to putty the cracks in my window frame where I could feel cold air leaking into the house, and it is wonderful stuff! You strip off as many bead sections as you need to fill and simply press it against the crack to seal it up. It is amazing and easy to use! Highly efficient for the price and I will buy more again. I haven't yet had to remove this but it seems like it will come off easily. It is like the consistency of chewing gum that is rubbery. My only other comment is that it breaks off a bit easily when you try to tear long strips.

I live by the highway and there was air leaks on the side of the window. I added these on the leak and the sound was muffled instantly. Sticks very well, has not come off at all, I was even able to peel of and reuse it after I applied it wrong. I really muscled it into the side window seam. I would advise using gloves due to the moisture in our hands. The moisture will make the caulking cord somewhat stick to your finger tips. But not that bad nonetheless.

This stuff works great as long as your surface is clean from dust, oil and any other substance that would otherwise keep it from adhering well enough to keep out the cold winter air. I needed this in White so it blended well with the color of my vinyl windows, inside and out. I’ve purchased this in gray in the past to use on some windows for a shed. I guess I should have paid closer attention to the length of the rolls before I bought two, thinking it would be enough to do several windows, because it’s only 30 feet in length for each strip of caulk. For a couple dollars more you can buy it in a 90 foot roll. I won’t make that mistake again! I’m considering returning it since I can get a 90 foot roll for the same price as this 30 foot roll if I can just get someone to stop at the store for me on their way home from work and I’ll still have time to get my windows done before cold weather.

Press-in caulk is good for a lot of things. Primarily used in automotive and household areas, I am currently using this to seal air gaps in an RV where the manufacturer overlooked, or found it too difficult to address. Such as around plumbing chanels/ductways near the shower or around cargo cavities where it meets the body underside to keep insects out. This caulk is easy to knead and trim. Just use clean hands when applying as it will pick up dirt and grease off your hands if not careful.

I see a lot of people complaining about it tearing and it not sticking. That is the nature of this type of product. Yes, it's annoying to unroll and peel off strands. Yes it is annoying to press it into place at window crack and not have it pull back when you move your fingers away. It goes with the territory. This product is just fine.
