Puffs up nice and airy. When you sit on it, it does compress down quite a bit but still maintains a nice amount of padding. I filled a leather cushion with it and use to sit on the floor. Really comfy and as soon as you get up the cushion rises right back up to look full and goes right back into shape. Maybe 30 seconds and you would never known it was sat on. I got the 2.5 lb bag and it was just a bit less than I would have liked for a 20” cushion that rises to about 6” in thickness. Luckily I had some pillow foam left in the house. I purchased this to help refill a deflated beanbag chair. I went with the 2.5lb bag and it was very well packaged when it came in! Though it was smaller than I expected, the foam did expand more as I took it out of its cloth bag to fill the beanbag. But I’ll probably have to purchase another to fully fill the beanbag. Overall, you could probably fill one to two throw pillows at most with this size. If you are wanting to fully fill something bigger, like a beanbag, you’ll definitely need the larger quantity! 11/25/24 EDIT - Several months later, and the beanbag chair I used this in is still looks nice and full! One thing that I have noticed is that this is definitely a *plush* filling. As such, even though the chair looks full, you will still sink in when you sit down (just to have the chair poof back up when you manage to extricate yourself out of the plush hole your butt just sank into.) The beanbag chair is also more likely to lean to a side if you don’t sit perfectly in the middle. It is still really comfortable, but if you prefer something that will give you a more “firm” seat, go with the foam beads. ... show more

I ordered four of the 26“ x 26“ pillowcases, and bought four 5 pound bags of the memory foam. As you can see, after staffing the four pillowcases, I had almost a full bag left over. The foam filled the pillowcases nicely and didn’t make the pillows look lumpy. I got the pillowcases off of Amazon as well. Here is the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XWJBRLV/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdo_btf_t1_8ZVnFbMF7V8ZF The corduroy pillow cases are so soft and yummy, and the stuffing makes it all the more inviting. The stuffing comes in a white casing as you see in the pictures. You will need to cut the casing with a scissors to get the stuffing out and into the pillowcases. I suggest you crumble and separate the stuffing as you are dragging it into the pillowcases. Not doing this on the first pillowcase cause me to use the entire 5 pound bag for one pillowcase. Doing the crumbling and separating with my fingers on the second pillow case cause me to almost have a fourth of the memory foam left over to stick in another pillowcase. Don’t be afraid of the mess it’ll make, but work in one area so the mess doesn’t get everywhere. It’s fairly easy to clean up afterwards. The zipper for the pillowcases is just like the zippers on the back of women’s dresses and skirts. They’re seemingly delicate looking. That being said, you do not want to force the zipper clothes without manipulating the pillowcase so that it is not straining the zipper. Doing that will simply break the zipper as it would on a dress if you force the zipper. I had no problems with the zipper, but as soon as I met resistance, I would squeeze the pillowcase together to minimize the stress on the zipper junction. I’ve bought Linenspa shredded memory foam 5-6 times over the past several years to fill body pillows and pillows. I liked the quality each time and was able to sleep on the pillows the next day without any issues with the smell. Last week I tried buying two other brands because the shipping was much faster and they both had an awful chemical smell, although one of them said Certipur certified ( I suspect it was fake). I returned them and ordered Linenspa. Had to wait longer but it’s so much worth it. When I finally received Linenspa and opened it I was relieved that it didn’t have the awful smell! ... show more

Whatever blocks of foam they were shredding did not have the hard outside shaven off, there are multiple semi hard pieces inside, but I guess you get what you pay for at 10 lb for 25$ (on sale). The smell is bad but other than that I guess it works

Used them to replace the itchy down in my couch pillows. And they work great and you don’t need as much as you think. Over stuff them for sure as it is a memory foam and will collapse under pressure as expected. So just over stuff. Them.
