It's December here in Iowa. It's usually colder. I turn the heat down to 68 at night. I've woken up several nights sweating. So this comforter is quite warm. It's very light and fluffy and I love that! I'd never put a comforter into a duvet cover before, that's like wrestling a bear! 😂 But it turned out just fine in the end. I won't be able to use this year round, that's very apparent at this point. But I do like it a lot. Worth every penny.

I bought the all season version and the lightweight version, but never get a chance to use the all season one. The lightweight one is warm enough for sleeping in 56F degree room temperature. We have the warmest winter this year so even I keep windows open all night I still only need the lightweight. The comfort is so well made and light as clouds. Quickly get warm once sleep inside. Super warm and you can call it toasted! If the brand has a much lighter version I’d love to buy one for summer too. But haven’t had the luck to find it on Amazon or the website. By the way, the all-season comforter I got is about 6.5lb, and the lightweight one I got is about 4.5lb. They both in great condition after wash.

This blanket was a Xmas gift to my husband. He had been overseas for a few months and got himself a down blanket as his sleeping quarters there were on the chilly side. He left the blanket with other family members but kept ooohing and aahing over how wonderful that blanket had been. I spent some time trying to locate something equally nice and specifically with a baffle box design. Lincove kept coming on top in my comparisons and that's what he got. He says it's slightly thinner than the one he had but that this is really good. Our house also has heating so he wouldn't need anything for arctic conditions. The blanket is very soft & lightweight and feels like sleeping under a cloud. It is also plenty warm (says someone who is known to get cold easily).

First night of restful sleep. Kept me at a perfect temperature all night. CON: I was under the impression from the description that it came with a cover. It does not! Not sure if I'd do it again. With the price the assumption was easy to reach, from the wording of the description.

This Comforter is 100% Goose "Down", as opposed to many Comforters which are comprised of "Down" AND "Feathers". Feathers of course do not insulate as well as Down. Feathers, which are present in some Comforters, are heavier than Down and do not spread out within the cells as evenly, plus the quills of Feathers are stiffer and can be felt more easily through the fabric shell, and can also tend to poke through the fabric easier than Down. The 600-thread count fabric shell is soft and lightweight. The stitching of the shell and individual cells of this Comforter, keeps the Down evenly distributed throughout each cell and across the Comforter. At night, we keep our thermostat at 63°F (17°C), and so far through the cold nights we've had, this Lincove Canadian Down Comforter has kept us very comfortably warm and not overly hot. We Love it!
