I love these pens. They are comfortable to use, and the ink writes smoothly and boldly. I brace my hand to write and so end up with ink on the side of my palm, but it doesn’t smear on the page. I bought these because we were running low on pens, and I thought they were pretty. I also like pens with the retractable ink and the clips. And I love that it comes with gold trim and the different colors. The operation of the pens did not disappoint - very comfortable and enjoyable to use. I ordered another set already, since I like them so much. I probably haven't had them long enough to rate them well on longevity, but some other pens I've had act like they are almost out of ink from the start - they just don't write well. The ink flows well from these. Oh and I like the grip as well. A good pen is a nice, simple pleasure!

In fact, I bought another box to have on hand in case they stop making this particular pen...companies seem to alter or discontinue good products and either make them cheaper for quarterly profit or discontinue for some "business' reason that makes no sense to customers..

I have been on the hunt for the perfect pen. I really wanted to love this one... and it comes close. But I can't give it 5 stars, so it gets an honorable mention. The overall comfort of the pen is very nice, it is easy to hold and feels comfortable when I am writing. The quality of the ink is good too, although the little red ball on the tip is a little difficult to remove without getting ink on your fingers. I love the barrel covers and the gold accents make it look much more expensive than it is. The ink doesn't smear when you write and dries very quick. But here is my problem... the overall quality feels cheap, and the pen is very lightweight making it feel cheap. The gold tip on the bottom of the barrel is plastic and it just doesn't feel like there is enough weight to the pen to sit as comfortably as I would like for it to when I am holding it and writing. So... it is a good pen, but not a great pen. If they walk off and find new homes, I will not miss them.

The pen glides pretty smooth on paper and doesn’t many ink gaps. I’m left handed so the lack of smearing is a plus for me even if I’m scribbling very fast. Love the variety of colors so I can pick the ones that I’m allowed to wear in uniform and have the rest for schoolwork.
