  • Little bit heavy but quite good to take out the weeds
The tool itself is quite good except that it is kind of heavy to me. Overall, it is still good to use if weeds removal work to be done by men!

  • Works Well
I like the fact that it was relatively easy to assemble, and I can adjust the length of the pole by simply adding or removing a section. I tried it out right after I put it together and I think it will work just fine. The only problem I had was the small bag that contained the nuts, bolts, and wrenches broke during transit and the small pieces had scattered everywhere in the box. ... show more

  • Great Product (so far)
OK, here we go... 01) If you check, you will find I don't Write many Reviews in the Vast Number of Purchases I Regularly Make. 02) When I Purchased this Product, it Appeared I was the 1st to Purchase it - and... it is the 1st Product that I've Ever Purchased that no one else had. I just Simply find one that Others had Reviewed and my Purchase Decision from those Reviews (or not). :-) With this Said... I will Tell you why I Stepped Out and Bought this one. I have a Large Property and Due to the Weather (and my Poor Maintenance), there is Very Little Grass and an Abundance of Weeds - which I would Begrudgingly sometimes Pull some of them by Hand. I Knew there had to be a Better Way, so I began my Search when I ran across Multiple "Versions/Suppliers" of this Type of Product. Also, my Property is Extremely "Rocky" (Caliche) with an Abundance of Asphalt and Concrete Drives. But what I found with Literally all of them was one (and/or a Combination) of Issues: 01) Excessively Slow Boat from China Delivery Times. 02) Poor Craftmanship. 03) Inferior Materials. And then... I Ran Across this One - with No Indications that anyone else had Purchased it yet. So I Watched the Mfg Video and hmm... Them Holding One up and Beating the Dickens out of it with a Reasonably Sized Hammer - and the Fact that it was "In Stock" with a Reasonable Delivery Window - I Figured I'd give it a Try it. It was Delivered as Quickly as Promised and already, I have Pulled an Abundance of Weeds of Various Types and it has Held Up Spectacularly Well (so far). And it was Simple to Assemble (they even Provided the Wrenches for Assembly). With this Said, Here's some Thoughts about it's (and others of this Type) Usage... 01) There is no "Miracle" Tool - Pretty Much of any Kind (of course, this Type of Tool is No Exception). So if you're Expecting a "Do All" Miracle Tool, then Pass this Type of Tool by and Look for Something Completely Different. Good Luck finding one. 02) Of course, it Works Best in Soft and/or Damp Types of Soil. The Only Caveat is - In Damp Soil (or Soft Clay), the Soil will have a Tendency to "Cling" to the Prongs. As you may (probably will) Experience this, just take your Shoe/Boot (Choose an Appropriate Type Pair) and Push the Soil that has Stuck to the Prongs Off. Note: If this Occurs (which it Probably will at some time or another), Naturally the Soil will also Cling to your Shoes/Boots and you'll have to Spray them off too when Finished. 03) Because of my Rocky Soil (Caliche) and Asphalt and Concrete Drives, it is all but (if not Completely) Impossible to sometimes get a "Deep Grip". This also is not an Issue as you can get a "Shallow or Surface" Grip and Pull the Weeds out from the Surface (or Shortly Below) once you Figure out the Technique. Of course, the Deeper the Grip, the Better but... If you Learn how to Utilize it Properly for this Situation - you will be Reasonably Satisfied. 04) Sometimes you have to Pull Weeds with Narrow Shoots and/or Vines which Prove Impossible for the Device (or any of this Type of Device) to be able to Actually Grab. If you "Slightly Twist" these just a Little around the Prongs when they Close Around it - It also Pulls them Out just Fine as Well. This is Especially Helpful for things like Poison Ivy and the Such. 05) If you have not been Properly Maintaining the Area(s) in Question, then Sometimes (sometimes) it's just Easier (and Quicker) to Simply Reach Down and Grab a Handful of them Clumped Together and Subsequently Pull them By Hand. Remember... There is No "Miracle Tool" that does all the Work for you. It just is what it is. Finally... As with all New Things, there is a "Learning Curve". Don't Expect that you can put it together and Simply Shove it in the Ground that it will Work First Time - Every Time (although sometimes it does). But if you Keep in Mind what I have Laid Out above, your "Learning Curve" will be Infinitely Quicker. In Closing... Hopefully, you found this Helpful as you're Looking to Choose one of these Devices for yourself - and I will Hope that it Continues to Hold Up and Work for me as Well as it already has - so far. ... show more

  • If this noob can use it, you can, too!
I'm not a gardener, nor do I play one on TV. With that true confession out of the way, let me tell you that I got rid of a lot of dandelions today. I know, I should have done that months ago, but I didn't want to face all of the bending and pulling and all of that. Bad back, you know. That's why I got excited when I saw this item. No bending? Sounds too good to be true. Well it is, kinda. At least if you have clay-ish soil like we have. Every successfully-pulled weed remained soil-glued in the jaws of this gadget, and had to be cleared out with some effort. I tended to bend to do that, in order to get everything into the trash bag. I could probably learn not to do that, though.... But regardless, this was WAY easier than pulling by hand. And it was way more successful, too. I saw lots of complete roots in that soil-glue. I also saw disgruntled earthworms. (How did I know they were disgruntled? By the expressions on their whatever-that-is-where-their-faces-should-have-been.) Don't worry, I put them back in the ground where they could be re-gruntled. By contrast, I almost never saw roots when I tried pulling dandelions by hand. Sadly, I couldn't successfully use this gadget in some of the places where it was needed most. It doesn't work in very rocky areas, or along the edges of hard things like walls or landscape-border-thingies. Also, some of the dandelions must have been ancient, because their roots were very thick and went down almost to the earth's molten core. This gadget couldn't get those out completely, so they just broke off. Still, this was by far the most successful weeding venture I've ever been a part of, and my back and knees were far less disgruntled than those earthworms were. As for durability, I really can't say yet. But it has every appearance of being sturdily made, and I expect it to last a long time. I recommend this weeder for noobs and experienced gardeners alike. ... show more

  • Quick and easy weed remover
I have used this weed puller for a couple of weeks. It was easy to assemble, and the sections accommodate people of different heights. I used it on a variety of small and large weeds with good results.
