When I saw that this little cardigan from Lillusory was 100% cotton it was a no brainer for me. I've been looking for a small cardigan sweater to wear not so much over things as shown in most of the photos but buttoned up as a top on its own. But I'm not a huge fan of polyester and nylon even in blends, so this cotton sweater was definitely worth a try for me. I sized up as I often do on Amazon vs. most of the stores I shop in and I'm happy I did as I wanted it to fit a little loosely. And since it was 100% cotton I knew I could probably shrink it down some in the washer and dryer, though I didn't have to as it fit just as I wanted as is. In fact, I'm a little worried about washing it now as I don't think there's enough room for shrinkage as any smaller than this and it will be smaller than I want. But the good thing about cotton is that you can stretch it out a bit after washing in cold water and usually get back whatever shrinkage that might have happened and sometimes even add a little room here and there. It probably won't be going in the dryer any time soon, though. It did come pretty wrinkles out of the package as so many of these products do, and normally I would pop it in the washer for at least a rinse or even a run through the dryer to get them out. But instead I decided to iron just in case and it came out pretty well. For ironing, I turned it inside out and used the wool setting which is just below cotton with some steam and the wrinkles came out pretty well. Ironing on the reverse is something I like to do in case the fabric is such that you wind up with shiny ironing marks on your clothes, this way they're on the inside and the outside looks perfect. In terms of fit I'd say the sleeves are a good length and at 5'7" the hem hits me at the high hip area, which is just where I hoped it would land so I'm happy about that. It's a little loose around the midsection, which is also what I'd hoped for. I can't say what the bust is like because I'm not super busty. But I think the measurements are pretty spot on so you can probably trust them. Just note that the measurements shown are the actual garment measurements so add some ease of wearing, which is usually a couple of inches at the bust area. But if you're not going to wear it buttoned you probably don't have to worry as much about that. Overall I feel like I can recommend this cardigan as it seems to be made well and feels like decent quality. The cotton is much thicker than I thought and not at all skimpy or thin even though it's still technically a smooth and viner guage knit. I also like the little pockets as a design detail. This sweater is on the the thinner side, but not too thin for Fall. I'm 5'5," 140lbs and got a size medium (my usual size). It sits a bit shorter on me than I'd prefer and the middle is a little wide. When I ordered this I didn't realize it's 100% cotton so it will shrink somewhat after washing. Because of that I'll probably end up giving it to my teen daughter. Just something to be aware of when you order. ... show more

I’m 5'2" and 100 lbs, and the size S fits me perfectly with a relaxed, comfortable feel. Even though the pictures in the website made it seem more fitted, I actually prefer the looser style. As someone in my 50s, I was a bit concerned the length might be too short, but it hits just right—not too cropped. The deep navy color is rich and versatile, pairing well with a variety of outfits. I also like how it looks both buttoned and unbuttoned, and rolling the hem gives it a more cropped look for different styling options. The material feels soft, and for the price, the quality is excellent. My only concern is the care instructions say 'Hand Wash Only,' which might be inconvenient. This sweater is more of a light milk chocolate or pale cocoa color than nutmeg. I'm disappointed that it doesn't match the photo. It does fir well though and is true to size.

I was looking for a light colored cardigan and this one fit that. The sleeves are a good length, the buttons are easy to use, and the color matches the photo. It’s lightweight but also will add a bit of warmth. I am giving 4 stars because I wish it were a little bit longer in length and it’s not as soft as I was hoping… but it could soften up after washing which is what I’m hoping will happen. ... show more
