This is a cute sweater vest. I ordered the Deep Camel version which is really a taupe color. It is lighter than the photos show but still in that same shade. I wanted this to look a little more oversized than it does in the main photo, more like the way it fits on the model who is not wearing a blouse underneath. So I sized up from my normal small and got a medium, and the fit is just how I wanted it. For reference, I'm 5'7" and 155 lbs with a slim build and 36D chest. I normally wear a size small in tops, sweaters and jackets. I think a small would've still been relaxed and somewhat oversized, but I wanted it oversized enough to have that extra fold of fabric at the bottom. If I had gone any larger than a medium, I think I would've been drowning in extra material and the shoulders would be too wide. The quality is good. It's not super soft so I probably wouldn't lounge around in this, but for wearing out it is fine. It has some weight to it so I'd say it's a medium layer, and great for layering over a turtleneck, blouse, or even a more casual tee. I could see this color potentially fading in the dryer so I'll probably stick to washing this cold and hanging it to dry. It's a cute vest and I have no hesitations recommending it!

This is a beautifully crafted sweater vest. I love the knitted pattern on both front and back - the back could have been plain down the midsection, and this is just an extension of the care that went into the design. I went with a medium instead of the recommended small after reading a couple reviews because I wanted the oversized look the model has. It might be just a bit too big in the armholes but otherwise fits perfectly. (That is the look though, so I'm not saying it's a negative.) It's very versatile and can be dressed up or down. The quality is amazing considering the price. I will wash in cold in a laundry bag (as opposed to hand washing because sometimes all the twisting required to get the water out affects the shape) and lay flat to dry.

From the wife: This is a beautiful and well made sweater vest. I’m very surprised by the good quality of the material and how cute it is. It’s a bit oversized (and I like it!) - I’m 5’10/ 141lb ordered a small one and it’s big (perfect to wear with a shirt underneath if I want) The fabric is very soft and not scratchy. I like this sweater vest but I don't love it. It is as described and as pictured. Just doesnt feel as good as I hoped it would, a little heavy and thicker than I wanted but it does fit well. I am 5'6" and 146 lbs and wear a 36D and I ordered a medium. The detailed knit quality looks nice in person as well as the color.

I love the way this sweater vest looks and it’s chunky and oversized for sure. I ordered up a size, because I personally like my vests a little bigger, but there is absolutely no need to do that and now I have a vest that’s VERY oversized. I would stick with your normal size and you will be fine! The black color is a staple for any closet and the quality is very nice. It’s a heavier material, so it will absolutely be a warm item in the winter!
