If you have an iPad or iPhone that has a lightning port (NOT USB-C) this device is HIGHLY Recommended! You can hook up an external hard drive or usb flash drive and backup / transfer files to and from your iPad or iPhone. I used the device to do just that and I have a lot of room on my iPad now. I also use this device to hook up my usb microphone and usb audio interface so I can recording music instruments using garage band. The device is a great value for the money. There is also a lightning port on the device so you can keep your device powered up and charging at the same time.

I got this to be able to connect a USB drive to my iphone and play music off of it and it did exactly that with no problems. I am using a 128gb usb stick and it reads it without any issue. I was also able to charge my phone at the same time as reading the USB stick. The USB connected to the phone right away and I was able to find it in my files. The overall build quality seems to be really good and it doesn't seem like it will break or fall apart easily. You don't need to install anything extra to use this so it's pretty much plug and play which makes it really simple for anyone to use. This one is really affordable and a good pickup for anyone that needs to connect USB storage to their phone and still want to be able to charge it at the same time.

I got this device to easily transfer photos from my iPhone to a USB flash drive. It works for transferring photos/videos/files back and forth. It has a similar look and style to Apple products. I tried it out today, and it works! It is plug and play. I uploaded an image of the user manual in case people have questions about compatibility, transfer rate, etc.

I needed to get a bunch of stuff off my 7th Gen iPad and this works great. Just attach and plug in the USB device and the lightning power cable to power it.

Solidly made, easy to use and we established a good connection without too much fussing though a longer cord might have been a good idea. I appreciate its lighting compatibility. That's getting harder to find.

Adapter allows USB connection via lightning connector. Works as described, small and lightweight - easy to stow away in your bag. Seems well built and durable, works as expected and easy to use. Great find that helped me with a couple of use cases. Recommended.
