I do aviation tech support and have to help clients with data on USB sticks that they need to get to our site. Some of them have abandoned even laptops, favoring an iPad or iPhone. So, I purchased this to test the ability to read USB sticks into the mobile device, and it works perfectly. I don't have a current use for USB-C but maybe I will in the near future. Edited….I found that it will work fine with a 64GB thumb drive…have to edit video files to 7-9 min runtime, 2-3 GB files and it works slowly but without errors. Original…While it seems to work ok with smaller files, larger video files result in a lockup and input/output error on my iPad. I’ll probably keep it since it does work at times. Just not the reliable way for me to transfer photos and videos from my iPad to my solid state 2TB drive. The drive is visible in files app for a while, then drops off and any transfer in transit will fail. Older iPad, plenty ram, latest updates. ... show more
