This adapter lasted about 6 months. It was handled carefully, but it stopped working. Easy to determine that the connection above the protective collar was loose (or became severed). I bought it because it looked durable with the protective covering close to the two connections. I would not recommend this. I'm back in the market for a replacement, but I won't be buying another one of these.

Don't know about durability over years, since just starting to use them, but so far, they are a great fix to the irritation of the new phones (I have an SE 2022) NOT having a headphone port. Build and sound quality very nice! Am coming back for another set, since I have so many headphones in different places. Haven't tried connected to mic yet, and it may be a while before I do, so - sorry - no comments there.

I work a job where I am constantly bending, shifting and moving, which puts stress on this adapter. It hasn’t lasted a week and it already cuts out if my phone shifts in my pocket just right. It is irksome, but it works well for what it is. It’s better then nothing and bought me enough time to get a pair of wireless headphones
