Works well for my 10 year old. The foot rests are a little to far out for his comfort and he isn't short. His legs are straight even on the closest foot rest. I am going to try a pool noodle under his knees or feet to alleviate the strain. The backrest isn't great. He is already asking for a new seat The maneuverability is great. We took it out on a choppy lake and he was able to maneuver with ease. My 13 year old 125lb son tried it out for fun since the weight limit is 150 and that didn't go well. Surprised our 10 yr old grandson w this for Christmas. He had kayaked before, so put it in the pool and had a blast. Easy for him to get on it, easy to maneuver. Great purchase.
