This is the best cooler I have ever had. Granted my past coolers were $30 - $60 mainstream items but this cooler exceeded my expectations. First use - Loaded on Wednesday morning. Put a full 6lb bag of ice on the bottom (in the bag) loaded a layer of canned and bottled drinks - cold from the fridge. Poured a partial bag of ice over this. Put a second full bag on top this layer and loaded more drinks (I don't remember how many drinks but it was as many as I could get in). Poured the remaining loose ice over this. The cooler was in the back of my van being opened and closed, had more drinks added, etc. while I had a booth at a local event (temps in the 70's and 80's). On Sunday when I got home there was about 4" of water and floating ice and both bags still had significant ice in them that had not melted. The remaining drinks were still very cold. That’s 5 full days of keeping cold and easily would have lasted another day. So I ordered the Lifetime 65 Quart version to have as well. ... show more

First, the good: Man, does this thing keep cold. I wanted to test it before I decided to keep it so pre-chilled it with 8 pounds of cold packs, about 5 pounds of 32F (AKA water) freeze point and about 3 pounds of 28F freeze point gel packs. I let this pre-chill the cooler for about 4 hours which lowered the temp down to 40F. I then placed my test ice - 1 quart of water at about 0F - into the cooler. The test ice remained frozen for 2 1/2 days. At the end of the test all of the 32F cooling blocks had thawed but the 28F blocks still had some ice left in them. So, yeah, with some more high-tech ice and filled with more than a quart block of ice this cooler will keep things cold for a long time. Now, the bad: Come on Lifetime, you make like Made in the USA is a big deal and then you allow seams like the attached photos past quality control. Finish matters. This was a surprise (particularly the open seam) as the rest of cooler seemed really well constructed. I'm not sure if that open seam would allow water into the insulation area but I'm going to slap some sealant on it to be sure it won't. I'll get rid of those rough spots, too. Otherwise it's a really good cooler, it would have been a solid 5-stars if only it was as well made as the Chinese products. ... show more

Was very excited to finally receive the cooler, until I opened it and Logo is on Upside down, even though it appears that it should only put on one way.. E-mailed customer support and called 2 times left message still no response. Still not sure if I'll return, Seems lame for an expensive cooler to have the brand logo upside down. ... show more
