Best cooler for the money PERIOD. Yeti & Artic coolers are so freakin' overpriced. When I bought mine 4 years ago, it was less than half the price of a comparable Yeti. I was able to addon a couple of cooler accessories & it still came in at half the price. Also don't go cheap & get an Igloo cooler, they suck. I haven't came across an Igloo cooler yet that had a properly insulated lid. Sorry Igloo, but your hollow air gap lids suck & are nothing but a heater on the inside on hot day. Go with Lifetime & get a cooler worth your dang money. They keep you brew ice cold for days, has two bottle openers built into to open them plus they don't rob you wallet? (it leaves money for more beer!) Oh heck yeah! I recently bought a 28 quart & it's great too. I bought a 55 quart for my father-in-law & he loves his. I bought this cooler for an upcoming hunting trip and I have to say, it is exactly what I wanted. I did a lot of research on a "rugged cooler" that wouldn't break the bank and this one fits the bill perfectly so to speak (no pun intended). You can tell this is a solid cooler from the get go. The thickness of the cooler is easily 2 inches on each side with little to no give when sitting on the lid. It shuts/seals nice and tight to make sure that no cold air will escape or let any hot air in. I can really feel how sturdy it is when picking it up (it's not overly heavy) and the rope handles are perfect. The bottle openers on each side are also a nice added bonus. 🙂 Best of all, this cooler won't totally break your wallet so if it does get lost or stolen (let's hope not! 😅) your wallet may only shed a couple of tears vs. create a miniature waterfall. All in all, I'm very happy I purchased this cooler and I can't wait to use in many upcoming hunting/camping trips! 😃 Not to mention it's awesome that it's made in the USofA. 🤘 ***Update 6/15/2020 *** I took this cooler with me last weekend on my hunting trip and it kept all of my frozen packs frozen and there was hardly any water at the bottom of the cooler after I got home. The cooler was sitting in my Montero all day Saturday and it was least 85 to 90 degrees inside of the car. I also opened the cooler multiple times to throw in drinks/beer. I'm glad I picked a winner. Lifetime, if you ever read this, thanks a lot for making such an awesome cooler! :D I plan to also get a smaller version as well for picnics. ... show more

This cooler is such good quality! Kept all of my food cold and I went on a three day camping trip. Some ice melted and I picked up one more bag. But I honestly would’ve been fine without buying more. I’m pleased!

Pretty happy with the cooler. Keeps ice frozen for the weekend that we used it. It is a little heavy, but that is ok since it keeps items cold for a weekend. That is all we used it for so far.

I own Yeti’s and RTIC’S this one is my new favorite. Day 4 still full of ice and has been opened hundreds of times in the past 4 days. Very hot and humid conditions. Once full of ice and drinks be prepared. It’s going to be really heavy. Worth every penny.

    • Decent Quality But Some Minor Drawbacks

I purchased this cooler to haul frozen beef across three states in 24 hours at -10degF. I had five different coolers and this one by far performed the best. The other four were from Mammoth, Igloo, and Coleman. After two days, the Lifetime had the most Dry-Ice left. The Mammoth was a close second. the Coleman and Igloo coolers were not of the same build quality and were rated as "6-day" coolers so it is no surprise that I had to add more dry-ice to them than the others. Though these appear to be a decent build and very tough, there are a few minor drawbacks with them. First, don't expect the lock holes to be of any use. One side is stainless steel but the other side, the lid, is simply the lid's plastic. A screwdriver could pop the hole. Second, and this is actually typical of all the "rotomold" coolers, they have a good amount of mass which makes them heavier and you have to pre-cool the inside. Otherwise, ice or other frozen contents will melt just to cool down the mass of plastic. Also, the rubber seal on the lid kept coming off. It is not glued in, just tucked into a groove. It was easy to re-seat every time but annoying to take the time to do so. Also, I think the extremely low temperature of the dry-ice caused it to shrink so it now no longer seals all the way around. I have not used this cooler long-term so it will be interesting to see how it holds up. These appear to be as solid as the Lifetime folding plastic portable tables which I think hold up relatively well. And the plastic did not warp with the extreme cold temperatures. Overall, I think this cooler is a good value for a cooler of this type. ... show more
