I ordered 2 sizes at the same time, in case one size went out of stock before I could get one returned, so I could make sure I got the right size. I normally wear a size 7 1/2 in shoes, but you never know when you're buying online. These are true to size, and the size 8s are going back. Love these boots so much! I've had good success in the lifestride brand of shoes holding up well, so the boots were definitely worth a shot. They zip up on the side, so getting my foot into the boot opening wasn't a problem. (If you have wide feet, it may not be as easy for you, but well worth the trying.) Zipper works just fine on both boots. Love the look of this boot, and they were comfortable to walk around in. They're not real leather, but I live in FL, so I don't expect to wear them that often. At least, not enough to make the cost worth it to buy real leather ones. It does get a little cold in the winter months, so they'll be good to have when it does. For the price, they were worth it to me (got them on sale for $42!). They look well-made, so I'm happy.

From my wife...Attractive, comfortable foot bed though could use more arch support, good height. A bit of work to get on, even with the side zipper. But the big problem is that there is reinforcement in the toe area....after wearing for a couple of hours, shopping both my big toes started to really hurt. Looked at my feet when I got home and there was a redness on the inside of each toe. After examining, I realized the toe area had no give due to some hard reinforcement. My big toes no longer curve inward at all as I wear pumps so seldom now. Have worn too long to return, will either donate or give to my daughter.

* UPDATE! They have stretched out and are fitting much better! * Love the color, style, and heel height however these are the most narrow “wide width shoes”! Can barely wiggle toes! I usually float between shoe size 10 and 11 and thank goodness I sized up as these are almost too small in length. Hoping they will stretch. Tight at ankle too. Disappointed as they are a nice looking ankle boot!

When I first tried these on I felt I’d made a horrible mistake. They were difficult to get on and the insole felt like concrete. This can not be good for my already painful arches and low back pain. I immediately took them off and debated sending them back. Then I decided to try to actually wear them the next day. As soon as I put them on I thought there was no way I’d make it through the work day. It did take some serious effort to get my feet into these boots. The first thing I noticed when walking was the opening at the top of the shoe was rubbing the front of my ankle. Off to work I went, suffering needlessly, I was sure. Within 30 minutes of wearing these boots, I realized the front of my ankle was no longer being rubbed. I was no longer walking on a bed of concrete. Wait…these boots are actually incredibly comfortable! I made it through an entire work day on my feet, walking at a rapid pace all over the place. My feet never hurt. My back never hurt. They still aren’t “just slide your feet in” easy to get on, but they also aren’t as bad as trying to squeeze into a pair of jeans that are 2 sizes too small. Nor are they as difficult as I remember them being this morning. I actually love the narrow opening because the ankle of the boots don’t gape around my small ankles. My overall opinion, for my fellow small ankle/ leg friends, is to give these boots a try. I just knew I’d made a mistake, but now I am 100% all about the boots.

I loved the way these boots looked online but they did not feel right once I got them and tried them on. I am returning these for a refund and hope to find a boot that does not rub on the front part of my ankle, which is very annoying. I don't always wear long socks which might help this feeling so I hope to find some other boot. The only good thing is the wide size 8.5 that fit great...I just can't stand the front top of the boot that digs into my skin on my front part of my ankle.
