This baby doll looks so real, you'd better not leave it in the car or some worried passer-by is apt to call 911. The attention to detail is astonishing, right down to a bit of moist shine inside the nose and adorably wrinkled feet. The position of the hands and fingers is expressive. This was my granddaughter's Christmas gift and a total hit. I really zhuzhed it up--including a quilted "bassinet" (with handles) and real newborn baby clothes. Baby went straight into the "baby purse" and was carried everywhere my granddaughter went all day. Among the doll's accoutrements is a birth certificate. I wonder what it looks like by now because just while I was present, baby's name changed at least twice. I am entirely impressed by this doll. $40 is a steal. Highly recommended.

So, I have mixed feelings about this. The doll is 18" which means you can easily use newborn clothing (instead of purchasing specific doll clothing elsewhere) but it's also kinda eerie, the hands and such seem a little off. For the price point, I don't think there's any problem with it, and for a young girl wanting her own realistic doll this is a great gift. But for some of the adults who want a -very- realistic doll I'm not sure this is the one. Just depends on your needs!

My daughter is currently in a baby doll phase and so when I saw this one I had to order it for her for Christmas. It's larger than your typical store bought doll, but not overly so. It is very realistic but does not bend or move like the more realistic dolls you see elsewhere. Still, she loves her baby doll and wants to take it everywhere with her.
