We have an old house with a lot of bug and rodent activity. We used to hear the mice scratching and scuffling around every night since the colder weather started, but after about a week of having these plugged in, we’ve heard significantly less activity. We still hear the occasional scratching or skittering, but it’s much better than before. We have one in almost each room. The sound is audible, a soft clicking noise or sometimes a low whine on level 1. Level 2 is very loud and wheedling, so we have that in the basement where we hardly ever go. We have 6 of these plugged around the house, and it’s definitely a more convenient way to keep insects away, and without any smell or odor.     • Easy to use - two levels of sound
These are well made ultrasonic pest repellents. They come in a package of six, so are sufficient to cover most of the average size home. Installation is simple - find a location free of drapery and just plug them in. They appear well made and are good looking. A feature I haven't tried is the second power level which works at a lower frequency and claims to be good to repel larger pests. I haven't tried it as it may be audible and the instructions suggest that it be used when you are not home. As for effectiveness - I'll have to wait and see, but many people swear by ultrasonic pest control. That said, I do have a complaint about Amazon fulfillment. I received a package with the box damaged and taped shut. It was clearly a return. When I opened the box, there were only four units instead of the six which the packaging said the box contained. I sent it back and received a fresh, new, undamaged box with the proper six units. Amazon needs to be more careful when they send out products that have been returned. In fact, if one orders a new product, one should not be sent a recycled return. ... show more

I purchased the item due to a recent rodent issue due to some foliage being removed behind an out building. I found their are two setting on the device. The first is unable to be heard and may be effective alone. The second setting can be heard and will actually give you a headache if you are around it too long. I placed the device on the second setting for a few hours and then changed them to the first setting and found excellent results. After 2 weeks I found no signs of the any creatures, worth the money. ... show more

    • Works great in my closed 2000 sqft warehouse.
I was apprehensive at first but within a day after plugging 3 of these in at my warehouse I noticed a drop in mosquitoes flying around indoors. Within two days I haven't seen a mosquito in this warehouse since. I should notes that this particular warehouse primarily remains closed which I believe helped the efficacy. My open warehouse has experienced a noticeable reduction in the mosquito population but still gets some stragglers from time to time. I plan on buying some more for the open areas, but indoors it works great. ... show more
