I needed a shorter seat post for my bike, but was having trouble finding correct size. So decided to cut down the original post (30mm diameter, aluminum 1.5mm thick). Thinking it was a long shot and would be more difficult than I could handle (middle-age lady here), thought I’d give this a try. Clamped the pipe into the cutter, started rotating it around the pipe, checked for groove, tightened it, and repeated those steps a few times. Not at all hard to rotate, only a bit of effort. decided to build a backstop with EMT, aka Eletrical Metallic Tubing. It's a great material for piping because it can withstand the weather. it's fairly durable and we can affix the net to it. We bought the EMT in 10 foot lengths. Originally the guy at lowes told us to use a hand saw. I'm thinking in my mind, that's gonna take forever. Happen to find the libraton tube cutter online to try it out and it did not disappoint. I thought the metal tubing was very thick. We decided to use 1/2 in and the cutter went thru it like butter. Ok, not that easy, but you get the idea. it was accurate, easy to use, and if you are not a handyman like myself, then you will be impressed with how well this works. ... show more

    • the de-burr tool can be stuffed inside it's own handle

bought for cutting some 1/4 copper tube to help prevent future RO line sprays(keeps happening for no freaking reason at the least sensible spots) the tool is ok, though the de-burr is not perfect on the 1/4 tube(I have a cheap dremel clone so I don't care beyond the cutter) the most cool thing is that the de-burr tool can have the cutting rod pulled out by pushing a button, then it can be inserted into the handle by trying to basically un-srew the handle bottom it is loose inside but should protect your toolbag from a de-burr tool poking a hole ... show more

old man hate to use muscle sometimes. ordered ratchet cutter, not coming on time. using this cutter & doubt to cut well. oh, man. it does cut less than 5 turns in 2" copper tube. great cutter, sharp cut as marked, over a 1 1/4" above, definetely you need this.

Cutter is listed in description as 2 inch pipe cutter, it’s actually printed with 50mm on the side, so in reality it is a 1.96” pipe cutter. And no, it won’t fit 2” copper
