This duplicator is awesome. Works exactly as advertised. So happy to have spare key fobs now. The scan feature works awesome too. Still figuring out how to adjust the loud voice. It feels pretty solid in the hand, and feels like it would last awhile. The display is bright and easy to read. I did not plug the device into any computer, and I'd hesitate to do so at all. The USB Process to obtain the software is not working correctly, I urgently need the vendor to contact me and send me the software I paid for. I bought this some time ago and didn't need to use the encryption until now. I need the link to download the software because the process to read it from the PC is faulty. ... show more

Expensive and it doesn’t even work. It turned on with fresh batteries (not included), then beeped a few times and shut itself off. Everything I try after that and it won’t power up. Tried more batteries and the usb cable and still won’t power up. Will update if the replacement works. Update: second device works. No problems yet and all unencrypted tags are working as expected. The screen is surprisingly large and bright and the on-device interface is easy to use. Reads and writes very fast and reliably, able to duplicate HID prox-type unencrypted cards and fobs no problem. However, this is a device from who-knows-what-manufacturer in China, and plugging the device in by USB to your computer should be done with extreme caution. The mass storage device it presents as (in order to deliver the decoding software) contains an EXE ("Decoding.exe", 512 KB) that immediately sets off Windows Defender as Trojan:Win32/Occamy.C84. VirusTotal has mixed results when the EXE is analysed (~50% of engines rate the file as malicious; you can check by searching for its hash: 84c16da8fd64838c813ca17db039ea75aa65478106c5da9834885ef88c2aaf5d). I would only ever run this software with extreme caution in a disposable virtual machine, with networking disabled, and only passthru the USB device to it. The software does run, and appears to attempt to decode *something* (high CPU usage while it says "decoding"), but it has never been successful for me in my tests, even if you leave it to run for 20-30 minutes. Offline handheld mode is great, but air-gap and virtualize anything that is interacting over USB or its included software. Unfortunately, that's just the reality when dealing with this kind of Chinese-provenance device and software. ... show more

    • It actually worked!
This was one of those products I honestly thought was going to turn out to be bogus. I ordered this because my community provides a single access card for both our entrance and our pool. I want to keep one permanently in my car and one permanently at home for pool use. Too many times after a pool day I would forget to take the card with me when driving. They charge a ridiculous $150 for a replacement to additional card. It's one of those plain white cards similar to the blanks that come with the unit. Product was very easy to use. Touched original card to the back & hit scan. Display then shows the numbers assigned to your original card. Then put the new card on the same spot in the back of the machine and hit write. This thing worked!! We were able to copy my brand new apartment complex's key fobs. The management is ridiculously stingy about giving tenants more than two key fobs or replacing lost ones, so we took matters into our own hands. Prior to this one we had bought a cheaper one that did not work at all. We returned that one and then bought this one which was about $20 more and it worked instantly! Great purchase! UNIT CAME WITHOUT USER MANUAL(PROBABLY LOST DURING CUSTOM INSPECTION), I WROTE SELLER AND HIS ANSWER WAS FAST , ACCURATE AND FULL OF INFO : THE MANUAL & A LINK FOR A VIDEO ON HOW TO USE THE DEVICE. BY THE WAY, USING IT? SIMPLER AS JUST 123, AND VOILA YOU HAVE COPIED YOUR RFID CARD.
