I started this review with 3 stars, but as I wrote it I realized there wasn't that much good to say about this set. I have kept and used it for 3+ years so it must 'sorta' work I'm not a person who takes joy in cleaning or cleaning supplies but the caddy needs another cleaning inside and out, and looking at it I figured it would make more sense to just throw it out and start new First, the brush. The handle is easy to use and hold on to. The brush portion is the pretty much standard round shape, but the bristles are very stiff and there's some splash-back. The stiff bristles leave lines in the cleaner (TMI - or in the mess after a clog and plunging) showing that you need to do a lot of scrubbing in different directions to actually clean the whole surface. It doesn't work well under the rim, and if you try it will splash back at you. Then there's the holder. It's light enough that it wants to come along for the ride with the brush unless you're really careful getting the brush out. It's light enough to tip over while the brush is in it and drip the unevaporated water from the base onto the floor. The caddy will also close while you're using the brush, so you need to get it open again by hand. The outside also seems to have a magnetic attraction for dust and lint. ... show more

I never wrote a review back in 2013 when I purchased this toilet brush, because I did not think it would matter. Well, it is 7 years later, and I feel it is important to say it is still working and still gets the job done. The bristles look new, and it really gets in all the nooks and crannies of the bowl. Who would write about a toilet brush, right? Well I am doing so because the makers of this brush deserve kudos for their well-made product. It helps make an everyday chore for all of us so much easier. I think it's very well made, and it looks brand new after all these years of hard work. GREAT! ... show more

    • What plastic bristle could clean porcelain?

The plastic bristles of this cheap item are too thick and widely spaced to do more than just literally scratch the surface of normal residue in the bowl. The egg shape does not reach the underside of the rim of the bowl. About the only advantage is the container, which accepts and releases the brush easily. What can't these manufacturers come up with brushes that are shaped and smoothed so that they scrub and polish? ... show more

I have used Libman mops for many years, so when I saw this product was made by Libman AND saw it was well designed, buying a couple-few was a no-brainer. The engineer in me likes the design features. For example, this has front and back slots (vents) to allow it to dry. With other brush-and-caddy sets I've owned I've had to leave them open to allow them to dry; otherwise, mold forms, especially in the bottom of the caddy. I like being able to buy well-designed and well-made products which are manufactured in the U.S. AND which are priced competitively. It's a dirty job, but we all have to do it somehow. I had the previous model without the vents and, well, you dont want to be reminded of it everytime you step in the bathroom, so I must say the vents are a huge improvement. The holder is very sturdy and doesn't ever give me a problem getting the wand in. I really dont like to touch germy things and I feel more at ease knowing the product is reliable. I've had it for a few months and it looks brand new still(and I use it everyday). ... show more

I understand that you need a stiff brush to get a good scrub. However, this literally gets stuff up in your face. Maybe it's the shape of the brush that is the issue. It's really hard to get a good clean under the lip of the bowl. And if you try, you just get spray everywhere.

I've had one of these for years and have liked it (as much as one can like a toilet bowl brush). I've long wished it was easier to carry from one bathroom to another because there is no handle and it's hard to grip anything due to the shape. Finally I decided to just get another one, one for each bathroom, so I won't have to move it. To prevent water dripping into the base, I just stick the dripping brush over the toilet bowl and anchor it by putting the lid down on the handle. Once it's dry I put it back in the base. That works perfectly well. The first one has lasted for years now, so I assume the second one will as well. ... show more
