  • My 5yr old son loves this toy!
Purchased as a Christmas gift for my son ( which my daughter also plays with), I had one of these as a child so I was confident my son would enjoy it as well. And he definitely does. It is very tall, took less than 10min to put together and gives him hours of enjoyment. The remote is wireless, and the crane moves in 3 directions ( rotates side to side, lifts and lowers the hook, as well as extends and retracts the hook carriage inward and outward on the boom). The only thing I would change is the speed in which the rotating platform turns. It is fast, and makes rotating more like a swinging action for the hook and anything attached. It does not lift much weight, but it is a toy designed to work with the supplied bucket and log. It does lift items heavier though, but I won't push the limit to avoid breaking the winch. He has used it to pick up toy cars and plastic animals.. This would be perfect if it rotated slower, and turned at an infinite 360' ( it turns quickly causing hook and load to swing out. It turns almost 360' then stops, then has to be turned back the other direction. The rechargeable battery has been used since Christmas day (7 days ago) without being charged yet. It has 1 light at the top that operates when the crane is functioning, as well as sounds when any part is moving. It uses a simple "on - off" switch for power, and if the hook cable gets tangled up, there is a removable latch to access the winding drum. The cable appears to be fishing line, which can be replaced if worn or broken. This crane ( like all made these days) is not as sturdy and well built as the one I had as a kid ( in the 80's) but is well worth the price and wireless. I do recommend this toy for any child, and regardless of the few minor flaws I've found with it, it is still a great toy and I am glad I got it. The remote with the 3 moving functions is not labeled for which buttons do what, I would have liked to see it labeled, or come with stickers to identify the functions, however I just used a marker to draw symbols. Over all, I still give it a 7 out of 10. ... show more

  • Fun toy for everyone
This crane is pretty cool! Not too hard to assemble, large, and worked perfectly, our boys had a blast “operating” it and moving around toys.

  • Does not work
This crane looked super cool put together, but once the bucket went down it never went up at all. It was the one big gift for my son's birthday and it doesn't work. Edit: The company and amazon got back to me with a replacement. Works nicely so far. The up and down occasionally do the opposite, but my son still loves playing with it. ... show more

  • Awesome Crane
This was easy to assemble and works perfectly. My son enjoys it a lot.

  • Perfect gift
Very easy to assemble, my dad is a 40 years expirienced tower crane operator, just retired, and he loved the gift, assembled by himself

  • Not what it seems
I wanted so badly to love this as it was the only gift my grandson asked for- it was well below my expectation. It is a very brittle plastic, rough edges so the mechanism gets stuck as it extends, the string that is supposed to drop a bucket doesn’t work and the cab on top doesn’t lock so it fell off as he turned the arm. I spent a lot of money for a very disappointing gift. ... show more

  • Cool, but needs consistent sound/light operation.
Pretty robust toy, however, the sound/light only works when it wants to. Otherwise a 5 star toy. Hope seller can make it right.

  • Hit of our Christmas Morning!
I got this for my husband for Christmas because we just moved back to the suburbs from downtown Atlanta and we used to make a joke about all the cranes that we would see in the skyline (especially while they built the Mercedes Dome). It was much bigger than I expected but that is on me for not reading the description :) BUT With that said I was so glad it was bigger than I originally thought because it could withstand getting bumped into you and our three-year-old trying to help. It was the very first thing he decided to put together and had no problem assembling it. This normally wouldn’t be a gift I’d get him if it weren’t for our “city joke” but he had an absolute blast on Christmas morning especially with our daughter and their crane hauling gummy bears <3 It only needed two AA batteries I believe and the controller is rechargeable. It makes some sound effects but they’re not too loud or obnoxious. I’m not sure if there’s a volume control or mute. We have even had friends come over and start playing with it (it comes with a log and a basket to try to pick up). I think this could be a fun gift for anyone from kids to parents to grandparents. ... show more
