If you Enjoy Drinking From A Glass Mug as opposed to a Ceramic Mug and You Like A Larger Cup, You Will Enjoy These Libby's Mugs. They are Well Made, Good Quality and The Handle is Comfortable in your hands. An IMPORTANT NOTE Is That the Directions Included in the Original Packaging States That They ARE DISHWASHER SAFE, BUT THEY ARE NOT MICROWAVE SAFE. I have put them in the Microwave to heat up the coffee in the cup for 35 Seconds, Without A Problem. I don't know if you put them in the Microwave at 1 min. or more. If they would crack or not. The Temperature of the coffee Really Depends on how hot your coffee is to start with and the temperature of Cream or Milk you add to the Cup. So, I don't think that anyone can make an Opinion on How The Glass Holds A Temperature, Cold (is there Ice in the glass or not) or Hot. ... show more

I’m not sure if this is a scratch or if it’s something that happened during manufacturing. But one of my mugs has these weird lines/etchings in the side. And it’s just the one, otherwise I might’ve returned the set. I’m going to keep them; I enjoy the heavy weight that they have and they’re beautifully made. Just the one mug decided to be special. These Libbey Kona Mugs are great! I’ve had problems in the past with heating my coffee in the microwave oven, only to burn my fingers on the handle when I attempted to retrieve it. When I place a Libbey glass mug into my 1200 watt microwave for two minutes, I get a steamy-hot cup o’ joe without burning my fingers. The handle is not even tepid. Imagine, 16 ounces of wonderful wake-me-up glory, with function and style mixed together. I love these durable thick shapely glass mugs that offer a comfortable firm handle, with a mixture of elegance and masculinity. My girlfriend prefers something that holds less fuel and gets less mileage. What can I say?! I like my medium-roast coddling to last longer and often go for a second cup. The world is in a coffee slump, as I write this review. Flooding and weather conditions, being the culprit. However, indications show that coffee is back on the mend. I purchased these glass mugs for several reasons. The most important reason was because they're lead free. Secondly, I like the way the heat of the mug is distributed off the base so it doesn't damage the table top. The third reason is because it holds a lot of coffee, tea or water in it.
