Let's start off with that I was building my first ever custom built pc after previously owning a prebuilt pc for 3 years and obviously when building a pc, you need good airflow for it work at its peak performance always and so your components aren't getting too toasty! Now after having and installing these fans for 4 months, I have decided to finally write a review on them and let everyone know what they're about of course... and LET ME TELL YOU, THEIR AMAZING, especially for beginner builders that do not want to mess with extra cables such as other brands like MSI, Corsair or even NZXT. The daisy chaining functionality on them is extremely easy to do as all you do is click them together and boom, their connected and ready to be paired with, in my case, the included RGB hub with the 3 pack, which may I say, it's extremely high quality and well built, however I don't agree with them using adhesive to stick it to the back of your computer and not a magnet like most companies. The color/colour (depending on which country you're from lol), is extremely vibrant, bright and very beautiful, with many to choose from using the Lian-Li software and not to mention the shape of them is insanely unique. The intake and exhaust on them are also extremely good, not to mention you can change the speed of the fans or certain ones while using the Lian-LI software. Overall, the Lian-Li's are definitely a solid choice for people that want to save time with cables, however the price is a little steep for around $30 a fan but I would say it's well worth it in the long run as it seems like they will last for a long time too. Nice and vibrant colors the software is bit of pain to get used to but it does let you customize to whaterver your preferences are. They connect perfectly with the 5 pack I bought just make sure that all your fans are v2 as the v1 are slimmer and not compatible with the v2. These push out greater air flow compared to the v1 and minimizes the cables that being said it does not elimate cables entirely and the fan controller is still needed and it still can become a rat nest if cables are not properly managed. ... show more

These fans are super nice with my NZXT H9 Flow case. The interlocking mechanism is nice no more cable clutter for 4-pin PWM and rgb for each fan is absolutely awesome to have. I had bought the 3 pack before so I ordered 3 more individual fans so it was super easy to set up and control with L-Connect software and the control box, though the software needs a bit of work it’s still good. ... show more

Pattern Name: Electronic Component Fan Style: 120mm 3 Pack Black with Controller
I've been a member of the PC master race for over 3 decades, and have been modding for just as long. Usually however, I favor go-over-show... unless I can get the show without hampering the go. For fans/lighting, this usually means minimal wire clutter, similar performance to regular non-RGB fans, unintrusive software so I don't lose 10% performance just driving the fans, and do-no-harm (e.g. fan controllers that simply die when the software crashes). These fans are a great leap towards perfection. here is why: Pro: They are pretty capable. the new V2 can actually MOVE air and they're on par with a good non-RGB fan. Pro: they link together and transfer power & signal to their neighbor reducing wire clutter significantly. Con: when they are interlinked, the holes may not line up with existing fan mount holes in 240mm or 360 configuraiton. Lian Li cases seem to have these long vertical holes that allow putting in the screw pretty much anywhere the fan sits... so non-lian-li buyers beware. Same may apply to certain radiators. Pro: Allows for a power drop from the end of the cluster, to another cluster. Con: Power neighboring clusters has limits given the thin wire. I wouldn't try to power more than 4 or 5 fans max on a single string. Pro: Good noise profile, including built-in/integrated rubberized feet. Pro: beautiful lighting configuration. Con: Lighting effects aren't as smooth in transition as others I've seen/owned. You can see stair-stepping of certain effects. Con: Lighting effects from these fans is not compatible with other strimer kit, like the illuminated cable extensions. Those will require their own controller and wire... so this pushes the whole integrated "system" in the wrong direction, and my reason for docking 1 star. Con: Confusion in the marketplace. Since Lian Li release V2, some folks are pushing unsold inventory of the V1's Pro: Software appears capable, but a bit lean compared to some of their competitors. Con: Price. These tend to be pricier than other RGB solutions, and the stock situation for the V2 is dismal... you may be able to get your hands on a cheap Raspberry Pi 4 before you get your hands on an SL140 V2 LOL.... Summary: this is a safe buy, if you're willing to pay a bit of a premium and wait a bit to get the parts you need. Also, keep in mind if you get the whole Lian li solution (including strimer cables), you'll be getting essentially two completely different physical systems including seperate controllers (but operated out of the L-connect system together) ... show more

The Sl120's are incredibly well thought-out. The extra thickness has a noticeable boost to CFM, and the new flippable connecting wire is brilliant. The LED's are some of the best, performance is excellent, and it's easy to control in the L-Connect 3 software. You are paying a premium price for a premium product, and IMO you are still getting your money's worth. Other than price, my other gripe is with Lian Li's controller ecosystem. Nearly every type of PC part from them needs its own controller for full functionality. I have these fans, a Lian Li strimmer, and the Galahad II Trinity 360 AIO in my PC. The strimmer needs its own controller, and the third infinity fan's side LED's do not light up when plugged into the SL120 v2 controller. I don't know why this was happening, so I avoided the problem by using all three controllers in my PC. It's not a dealbreaker or anything, but a bit inconvenient. ... show more

THESE FANS ARE GORGEOUS. Lian Li has some of the most beautiful fans out there. And not only are they beautiful they are exceptionally easy to install with the connect feature. I will never use any other fans anymore. If you’re thinking about these fans, buy them, buy them now. 100000000/10.
