These fans are awesome! They look amazing and work like a charm! The rgb colors are transition very smoothly and there are no hot spots of bright light. The daisy chain feature is simply brilliant... I may never buy another brand of fan ever again purely for the daisy chain feature alone! I may add a few more to my pc case. These fans are designed to be plugged into the Lian Li control box, and the control box is plugged into your motherboard. Originally, I set these fans up just like that and I ran into problems with my software not showing the fans RPM's using Asus Armoury Crate software. However, the RPM's did show in the L-Connect software. Also, this was giving me the 'cpu fan error' message from my bios, which I had to work around by ignoring the cpu fan monitor in the bios. To get around this, I plugged the fans PWM cables directly into the motherboard (not the Lian Li control box). Now RPM's show in Armoury Crate. I did it this way because it is easier for me to control the fans using my motherboard software. Simply personal preference. And it got rid of the 'cpu fan error' that I was having before. Works perfectly. Note that the rgb cables for these fans appears to be a proprietary plug by Lian Li that will not plug into your motherboard. So you will need to use the control box for the rgb.     • I love these fans
I absolutely love these fans. Still running fine after all these years. I use both the 120mm fans and 140mm fans and I've had no problems with the fans themselves. I like the idea of having them chained together and less wires running through the case. The colors are bright and the software is cool.

    • Why can't all fans be designed like this?
I used to have a bunch of Corsair fans in my case with the giant rats nest of cables that came along with them, but no more. Lian Li deserves all the praise they get with their Unifans. I love how they hook into each other and only have the two cable runs per bank of fans. It just makes wiring and cable management so much easier! And the fans are absolutely beautiful to boot! They aren't the quietest fans I've ever seen, but they are reasonably quiet and can push a lot of air at fairly low noise levels. ... show more

    • Excellent fans
The media could not be loaded. A strong competitor to Noctua Fans, but with diffused ARGBs. Using the L-Connect software is a good option with these and they respond almost instantly to any changes. The fans are a bit thick and can impede or encroach your cable management depending on the case layout so pre-plan your build with consideration to the fans. Obviously, they fit best in a Lian Li case, but generally your MMV. EDIT: In more recent months these fans will sometimes flicker random RGB colors, but I also have the issue where the lower set of fans can't be speed-controlled - it's something to do with ASUS and Lian Li working well together. Lian Li suggests using the L-Connect 2 software (which the ver 1 fans don't really use well) and Asus suggests letting the MB control the fans (which Lian Li says to not do) These are very quiet with a high output and low noise. The hub can control other fans, but be cautious and aware of the pin layout and use fans with the correct voltage range (I have some Noctua Fans connected to the hub) ... show more

I wasn't sure it I made the right purchase when I received these. I likely could have used the 140mm fans rather than the 120mm in my case. I think these are just fine though. They look kind of cheesy when not lit up. They look really good when lit up. Quiet operation. Somewhat easy to install; however the one wire does come out of the controller rather easily. The software provides a lot of lighting variations. There is a LOT of cool air inside my case when I open the door. I'm using these on a Seasonic Syncro case.     • Cable management turns into a dream
When I found out about these fans, and how good and reliable they are, I had to get them. Cable management is a breeze, they reduced my cable clutter considerably, and Im big cable management too, so knowing the amount of cables from previous fans is gone, and bought two packs of 3. So I have backup parts essentially just in case. Because ultimately one box of 3 is all you need to start this amazing case fan set up. Overall?     • great fans but have 1 major problem
these fans are great quality and work super well, they look fantastic but they have 1 massive problem, especially considering how expensive they are. the issue is the mounting mechanism. there are no threads in the holes where you screw in to secure the fans to your chassis. the screws are meant to basically self tap into the plastic of the fan housing, which is in no way described in the manual, and im assuming if i ever take these fans off, they will become essentially unusable since the threading is made by the screws and will just tear the plastic up if i take them off and try and use them again. for how expensive these are and how high end of a brand Lian Li is that is totally unacceptable, they need to have metal threads that are pre-tapped. they also need to figure out their instruction manuals, ive bought sever products from Lian Li and all of them have awful instruction manuals that dont really tell you anything (at least they dont tell you anything in English) you will end up needing to look it up online. get it together Lian Li, im not going to be buying anymore $100 fan kits from you if you cant even be bothered to tap the mounting holes for the screws. seriously get it together Lian Li. ... show more
