The packages came in one 100lb box and one 20lb box. Shipping was incredibly fast and both packages ended up arriving on the same day. I think I just got lucky, though so I was pleasantly surprised I could set it all up in one go. None of the boards or other materials had any visible damage or scratches. I was able to assemble this with an Allen wrench, Philips head screwdriver, and a flathead screwdriver. I don't think I used any other tools. But I wish I had used a power drill for some parts. The assembly was not a fun time. I did it by myself and it took several hours. The manual can be a little confusing and the illustrations and labeling aren't always accurate. Double-check everything before you place it! Some of the smaller screw locations are not marked on the boards, and you need to make those holes yourself. But I didn't run into too much trouble with placement. Most hardware locations were marked. I did receive a few spare screws, etc., which was nice. And stickers were included to cover up any unsightly screws for a seamless finish. The finished product looks beautiful! The barn doors slide easily and there are subtle adhesives provided to soften noise. If you purchase the version with the fireplace, you'll still receive the shelf that the version without a fireplace has. So you have options if you ever want to remove the fireplace. The fireplace was an easy set up. The flames could be a tad brighter in daylight, but it still looks homey. I haven't tried the heater yet since it's still very much summer weather where I am. Overall, I think the price point was fair for the product I got. I'm extremely happy with this product. It took hours of searching to find an entertainment center with the correct height/width specifications for my oddly shaped living room, but this was as close to perfect as I could find! I was happily surprised at the quality of this unit! As a female, I was concerned about tackling this by myself but I've put many pieces of furniture together so I decided to try it and it went very well. The instructions are good but pay attention to the pictures, as the text/instructions were missing in a couple of places. The only critique I have is that the cabinet instructions need to mention what not to do if you're installing the fireplace: don't install the center shelf and don't put the back on because the fireplace is installed from the back and takes up the entire space. It looks beautiful and sturdy, the heater works very well and we've also enjoyed the flames without the heat. The remote is wonderful... and it comes with a battery! Oh... I love that the heat is set by temperature versus low, medium, high. I'm very happy with this purchase!! ... show more

I did the fireplace option. It arrived in two parts on two different days. The flame is a little “faker” than others I’ve seen, but it has some nice features, remote, flame height, heat level, etc. which is great. The cabinet is laminated pressboard, but seems pretty sturdy. Hardware is good and strong. Parts were well labelled. Instructions were just ok. There were a couple times when we sat looking at a piece trying to figure which way round it went….one time installing it wrong, then in the next step realizing it was wrong. It took two of us probably a total of 2-3 hours to assemble. It looks great, it’s what I wanted at a price I was willing to pay so overall a good deal. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I do rate the product 5 stars. It's beautiful and sturdy and great quality for the price. I did have some issues with assembly. There are a few errors in instructions but was pretty simple to figure out the correct way. Obviously I installed the "drawer" covers wrong because they don't lay flat, but that's my fault. I see others did it correctly lol. I did email support and did not hear back but messaged through Amazon and received reply in a couple hours. It took me awhile to put this together but it was totally worth it. One of the twisty metal inserts broke and there was extra pieces to replace it with. Everything got together perfectly! I've put many things together and the fitment and quality is the best I've ever seen. The fireplace can be on visually without the heat on and I really like that feature. Behind the Barn door on the left I put the PS4 and the Nintendo switch. These both fit in that cavity Perfectly with just enough room on both sides for them to breath. Ordered this with the Fireplace insert and it did not come with instructions or the hardware or remote. You tubed this to put it together the instructions were horrible to follow. It took us almost 5 hours to put together that was 2 of us. Make sure you have a power drill it will help it is a lot. And it still is not finished because I can not insert the fireplace unit. Very Very frustrating. It is nice and sturdy however not happy that It is missing the items that I need to wait on now. ... show more
