I love the look of this unit, and it seems sturdy. The fireplace attachment looks more natural than another I have in my house. The unit took me a long time to assemble, though, and I do a LOT of these kinds of assemblies. A few pieces were broken or missing, but the company was good with communication and able to rectify. Word of caution: If ordering this unit with the fireplace insert, the doors won't open / slide correctly after fireplace installation. They are fine without it if just using the included shelf, but the fireplace gets in the way of the doors (I end up lifting them off the track to open it). ... show more

    • Missing pieces making nearly impossible to assemble

This pieces is attractive and looks very nice in our space; however, assembling was a nightmare and took days due to missing pieces. Day one, we spread out everything that came in the box only to find out that the main package of screws was missing. We could not even get started. I contacted the seller and they told us to check again before finally saying they had shipped the missing parts (to this day they have not arrived). One week later we make a second attempt (after a trip to Lowe's for missing parts). There are NO instructions on inserting the fireplace. Thankfully, I can use some common sense and figured it out; however, once installed the sliding doors won't close over the fireplace. We had to loosen it significantly and pray it doesn't detach. I FINALLY get everything assembled...down to the LAST PIECE. I go to place the top, and wouldn't you know, there are no predrilled holes to place it over the dowels/screws to lock into place. We wait yet another day and finally attach the top with liquid nails. It works, but the week-long assembly created more frustration than I care to deal with during a move. ... show more

Unfortunately my item arrived with damage to one of the doors so I reached out to the seller. They immediately shipped out a replacement door which arrived much sooner than I expected. It's a beautiful piece. The directions were a little confusing but we figured it out.

Arrived a day early. Took me several hours to assemble by myself. The bottom piece doesn't fit together the way it should but nothing that would make me send it back. The electric fireplace puts out a lot of heat. When I run it my heat does not kick on. Not sure what my electric bill will be but I know my oil consumption should be reduced with the help of this. ... show more
