Do not buy. Mines less than a year old. The drain pump motor has failed already. 100 bucks to replace doing it myself. No help from lg. Move on. My last Kenmore lasted over 20 years of hard use.

Purchased this washing machine and the matching dryer. Got them installed and running last night. I was very disappointed with my initial wash. Do not wash your clothes on the normal setting. The water does not fill up far enough to completely submerge the clothes and the agitator will shred your clothes. I was told that you can remove the agitator but I am not finding any information in the manual or on YouTube about doing so. I bought it with the intent to remove the agitator because of how it can damage clothing. If you use powder detergent the normal cycle does not provide enough water to dissolve powder detergent and fully rinse it from your clothes. You must wash your clothes on one of the other settings which will take much longer. The app is an absolute joke. And LG is so proud of it and certainly does propel them into the standards of technology 5 to 7 years ago. Seems a little late to join the game. But once you use the app you can see that they have no innovative twist or even basic knowledge on how to provide a customer with an easily navigatable and useful app. It's quite complex and not of the modern simplistic design. The features are in reality very few. You cannot remote start a washing machine, the notifications are out of sync with the cycle and there are no other features that are worthwhile. The app does not sync well with the machine. And the machine must be on and Wi-Fi activated each time you wish to use it. All it does is add a frustrating useless step to your normal washing routine. Six features that need to be added: allow the owner to add more water to the washing bin during a cycle. Add a warm rinse. redesign the detergent bin. It is very difficult to add powder detergent. They haven't located in a very awkward place. allow the owner to remove the agitator. Allow the owner to unlock the lid during a cycle to add more clothes. Fire the team you have working on the app and hire a competent team who is forward thinking. (Or maybe LG is just too heavy handed to allow for any useful innovation?) Not all of us have kids, or even have kids over to our homes. There's no reason to have the lid locked the entire cycle. Reminder to you overly safety conscious folks out there: not everything in reality is for children.

Tangles clothes. Doesn’t spin water out. Worse than the old machines with wringer. Gave trouble almost from the first year. Just don’t make them like they used to

We’ve had this washer for almost 3 years now and we wished we would have never bought it. It leaves residue one our clothes and does not clean very well. We had a matag for 20 before that. Wished we would have bought a different brand
