This LG all in one washing machine and dryer is pretty good especially because it’s a standard 27 inch width. There are only two problems. The first is that only two of the preset water cycles include the dry function. Should be able to be resolved with a software update, allowing you to reset which cycles include the drive function so you don’t have to manually select it each time. The second thing is, I’m noticing that after some washes, there is a puddle of water left in the drum After a dry cycle. It may be due to not taking out the clothes within 30 minutes of the dry cycle ending where the condensation converts to liquid. And yes, close the phone damp, where the puddle is In the drum. Also, a third thing you always have to be at the washing machine to enable remote start, which is ridiculous! Bottom line it is pretty good especially if you can get it on sale but if the GE was 27 inches instead of 8 inches wide I would get the GE, Which I already have, but cannot accommodate the space required since it is a little larger. ... show more

    • If your machine doesn't have top micro filter, you need it.
OK. Full disclosure. 1-We did not buy this machine here but via LG direct when it was essentially released to mkt. 2-We have had a very up and down (and strongly up again now) opinion of this machine. 3-We (wife and I) are still a bit at odds, but I am reviewing today and she is not. She doesn't like form factor in our laundry room. This unit handles big loads. It runs on regular 120 power. It needs no outside ventilation. It is new laundry tech (to US, but very tried-n-true overseas,) but the main drive-component is warrantied for 10 years. Peace of mind. Plus, it is LG. When dialed-in (to be explained in next paragraph), this thing works like a charm. Sure you put a load in and hit AI Wash+Dry and are a bit skeptical of a 2hr45min run cycle, but it is set and forget. Put in dirty, comes out clean and dried. Via app connected to WIFI, the machine talks to you and tells you when the cycle is done too. Pricey, yes. But such is the world we live in. We were blessed to get early adopter deal on it. We were patient as kinks worked out, and this is the main reason I am writing a review - if you got an early version model and are not happy with drying, read on... The first few months we had this, all was good...albeit dry cycles never fully dried. Fast forward a year later and my wife was ready to pick the thing up and throw it in the garbage. Thankfully it was too heavy for that...and I chatted with LG support for the fix. CSR heard our issues (wet clothes, 2x and up to 5+ hour dry cycles, water leaks from front). They said keep all filters clean (we do) and then LG sent an entirely new top filter kit that is different than what was on the original. Free, almost certainly because these should be on all these machines. For reference this (new to us) magnetic micro-filter sits between the regular slide-out filter and the heat condenser. Voila. This simple extra filter has transformed the machine into a real workhorse. 1x cycle, dry clothes, no excess lint anymore. 5-stars. Don't forget to clean the two top filters after every use and the water filter at the bottom regularly as well. Plus, we have two corgis and need to wipe down the front rubber gasket regularly too.
