  • This phone is a great device especially for the price!
I bought the LG Velvet as a backup phone because my iphone was acting up. I'm so glad I did because it's such a great phone and definitely more affordable than any Samsung or Apple products. The phone is still being used and works great even as I write this review. It's got good battery life. You can go for almost 2 days without charging it. The camera is good. You don't have to pay for wireless headphones because there's a headphone jack/port on the phone. The phone also comes with a wall charger/USB. Best $300 I've ever spent. I'm never going back to Samsung and I am definitely not going back to Apple products. ... show more

  • Good size phone.
I like LG phones, had the G3 V20 and G6 previously. This phone is just as wide but longer than my older V20. I came with android 10 though I could not get it to update to android 11. I think it tried but failed. Meanwhile, I bought this phone renewed. Its my first renewed phone. Everything looks brand new, buttons are tight, camera works, sound is loud and clear. Battery life if I leave it sitting on a table is around 10 hours, if I use it all day I get around 8 and will charge it when it drops to 30% The screen is nice and big for watching youtube videos or GPS. I think I like a flat screen more then this curved edge design as the edges are slightly dark fro straight on. Also, its harder to find curved glass screen protectors. I added a screen protector but it was difficult to install and has a rubber plastic feel. If you add a case and a magnet to hold your phone in the car the phone gets much heavier. This phone does connect to 5G on t-mobile. The phone boots up with t mobile logo amd has some t mobile apps installed. I just put my sim card and SD card in and it worked. I used LG switch app to move everything from my old V20. However I did see a couple times a notification saying my SD card has been ejected, reinsert the SD card. I did pulled the card out once but the second time I didn't and it seems to still see the card even though I left it in Maybe that's why it considered renew, not sure, or if it was just a 2 time hiccup. Overall, satisfied with this LG velvet renewed, would consider buying amazon renew again. ... show more

  • Doesn't Work on Mint, Poor Battery Life
I am extremely disappointed with my purchase of the LG Velvet (5G) smartphone. Despite being advertised to work on the Mint Mobile network, it simply did not. I was unable to make or receive calls, and had no data connectivity whatsoever, even after manually inputting Mint's APN info. This was a huge inconvenience, as I specifically purchased this phone with the expectation that it would work on this network. In addition to the network compatibility issue, the battery life on the LG Velvet (5G) was also extremely poor. I found myself constantly having to charge the phone throughout the day while setting it up, which was frustrating and inconvenient. Overall, I would not recommend this phone to anyone looking for a reliable device that works on the Mint Mobile network or that has decent battery life. Save yourself the hassle. ... show more

  • LG is the best smart phone
LG is the best smart phone. It is user friendly, durable and reliable. Unfortunately, LG has stopped making phones. Therefore, it is risky to purchase LG because it is possible that it will not conform to updates and current digital format of cellular service provider. My first order try last Fall was unsuccessful. I took a chance and tried again in May. This time I went to an expert after physical receipt of phone from Amazon and had him configure the phone. Success!!! Amazon was fair and expeditious with return. Customer service was exceptionally good. The condition of both phones was A-1... the first was incompatible itself and/or in set-up. Second phone was successful. ... show more

  • Works flawlessly (for a while...)
I really like this model. It works very well. Until it doesn't. Performance and storage are good. You may want to buy an additional unit just for backup purposes.

  • For LG it's okay
Well first, there's the notch. Second, the ppi is not premium and makes me miss my V40. Switching the color intensity to "Vivid" took the edge off. It is reliable and speedy. I think my biggest disappointment is that as soon as LG finally came out with a phone shaped in a way that isn't generic (yay!) they made the decision to abandon their unique UI accents (boo!). Almost nothing differentiates this interface from a Samsung, now. And I guess they thought that would give the phone greater mass appeal. But it makes me pine strangely for the days of the G4. Also my front glass scratched up almost immediately. ... show more

  • LIFESAVER
Had an LG Velvet with AT&T and they wouldn't let me switch over to a new company with it. LG stopped making phones and the support has been all over the place. Bought this phone and it came in perfect condition and my SIM card swapped over no problem. I can make calls and text again, thank you!!

  • You want the at&t version.
Even if you are replaceing a broken phone like me and originally had the metro/Tmobile version, ask for the at&t version. Has more apps pre-installed for at&t users and apps for those that use or have derict TV. Also at&t version has wireless charging capabilities where as when I had my metro version it dose not have any of those features. ... show more
