  • Truly an Impressive Phone and Worth a Look
NOTE - You will have to go in and update settings for your carrier to get mobile data (unless you are staying with TMobile). The phone I received is TMobile branded, but was easily put onto the ATT network with my SIM for phone. You can search for your carrier's settings easily by looking for 'unlocked phone <carrier> data settings' Now the phone... The phone is impressive - snappy performance, nice functionality. I have to admit that I can concerned it would be a bit large for one handed used, but after a few days I've gotten completely used to it (coming from an LG G3 that was large, but smaller than this). The screen is clear with a great DPI. The notification screen at the top is a nice addition. Instead of having lost real estate, it can do things like adjust your music, snap back to a phone call, or get regularly used programs and features (screen shot/flashlight are fantastic here). I don't have any stats regarding performance or battery life. I'm sure the latest generation of phones (S8, G6, etc) are faster - but this has more than enough memory and processor horsepower to get me through my day and is certainly a significant bump from my last phone. One thing I did want to touch on was the battery life. The battery life overall hasn't wowed me - but the Quickcharge 3.0 has. I can throw my phone on charge, especially on the car charger it seems, and gain 20-30% battery within 15-20 minutes. Often times that's just the boost I need to get through the day. Also, with a removeable battery, I'm less inclined to count this as a knock against the phone. (plus i haven't done any optimization and am still running on generally out of the box setting) I've been generally happy with the camera, though like most it struggles in low light. This was the number one reason I upgraded phones, but haven't noticed too much of a difference. My photos are certainly less grainy, but the grain is there in lower light conditions. Otherwise, the camera is sharp, focus is crisp, and I would stack it against other phones of its price point for all but the most serious picture heavy users. Overall though - buy it. You can get it for half the price of a G6. It's a no brainer. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY
The phone itself works great. Its got wonderful features, and its perfect for my needs. Why the 1 star then, and the DO NOT BUY tag? BECAUSE ITS THE INCORRECT PRODUCT. Shipped and Sold by Amazon, but the product name is completely wrong. They are not shipping H918 models, they are shipping H910 models, or, AT&T Branded phones unlocked by AT&T. The name is very specific. "LG V20 64GB H918 - Unlocked by T-Mobile" Which, if you're on the T-mobile network is great. its a good price for a new phone and last generations flagship from LG. Now, if only that's what was being sold and shipped. What is actually being sold and shipped is an AT&T branded H910, a complete and total inaccuracy in both the product name and description. It is still unlocked, but comes loaded with bloatware in the form of unremovable AT&T apps, and presets configured for AT&T networks. The phone that is shipped will work with t-mobile, mostly. LTE-Calling won't work, which means you won't have HD voice. Personally, not something I care about in the slightest. The phone will require some pretty extensive configuring to get it to work on T-mobile's network as well since it will automatically search and try to pair with AT&T networks. Once you gone through that though, and if you can deal with an AT&T logo lasered onto the back of the phone, then it will work as intended for the most part. The only reason I'm not going to be out right refusing the phone and demanding a refund is because I can get it to work for my use case. Though instead of feeling excited and happy when I went to open the box and setup what was intended to be a new better experience from the G3 I was upgrading from, I felt nothing but anger and regret as I spent over an hour troubleshooting and reconfiguring the phone to work for me. I absolutely do NOT recommend you buy this. Has personally soured my experience with amazon, being a formally very satisfied customer over the last handful of years ordering regularly and maintaining a prime membership, but now I doubt if I'll even keep my membership active. Shame on you amazon. ... show more

  • Best Phone with Removable Battery
Best phone out there with a removable battery. It manages to allow for removing the battery while retaining a super slim profile. Awesome design. In addition to that you get the second screen up top, a wide angle camera on the back, and expandable storage. This phone may be getting older, but is still one of the best as far as features, in my opinion. I bought one for myself, then one for my brother and later one for my other brother! Can't go wrong with the V20, although I would recommend the US996 version which supports more radio bands and carriers while the H918 is limited to T-Mobile. ... show more
